Received from Collected Sent by Around 4 000 parameters
systems by FDIMU FOMAX Sent by FOMAX
to the ground
Description
• Increase of APU Hours/Cycles observed in ACMS reports
• ACMS APU life not aligned with CFDS
• Only on APU with more than 16383 hours or cycles concerned
Root Cause
• A temporary invalidity of the new labels (135 or 136)
• Switching in the acquisition of the ARINC labels sent by the ECB at FDIMU level
• Previous labels 132 and 133 reset and restart from zero (roll-over effect and offset
generated with 16383 value),
• The offset value (16383) is added to the data as soon as the new label is valid again
leading to the observed increase in the information reported in the ACMS.
Final resolution
FDIMU software upgrade which includes the elimination of the automatic offset calculation
- Ny kpi (lateral acceleration at touch down) directly available from load report 15
• New AMM 05-51-11 Hard Landing criteria Only applicable to aircraft fitted with New load report
15
• For aircraft fitted with Previous load report 15 standard the current AMM 05-51-11 remains (old
criteria)
• Dedicated AMM 05-51-11 task for New load report 15 scheduled for Q3 2018.
Code:
4520 or 4620 or 4420 or 4320: Hard Landing (Amber Event)
Or
Nz kpi / Ny
1.80 ≤ NZ kpi < 2.06 or 0.45 ≤ Ny kpi < 0.5 Hard Landing (Amber Event)
- Report Code 7000: Possibility to consult the last landing parameters. Stored
systematically after every landing (even normal)
In case of a pilot report of a suspected hard landing, possibility to use the
code 7000 report to assess the event (even if below the limits)
- Report code 5600 & 5700 introduced for High Lateral acceleration In Flight
Triggering of a Load report 15 in case of High Lateral acceleration in Flight:
Ny > 0.35g
Refer to AMM 05-51-44 (Inspection after A/C Operation with High Lateral
Acceleration)

Size of PCMCIA card shall be 4GB as a minimum capacity, and it is recommended to extend it
to 32 or 64GB (only if ADC function is activated)
due to extended data collection files allocation on PCMCIA (ADC writing to PCMCIA always
deactivated)
