ECO - BRICK Project

I. Introduction

Eco Bricks are made – up of plastics bottles which inside in it are waste recyclable
plastics. It signifies a diverse approach to waste management. Plastics recycling is an
energy intensive, polluting business, often involving long transportation distances. These
Eco Bricks are invention for an alternative use for different functions, like use for building
houses, gardening, a small boat etc... Eco Bricks turn waste into a highly insulating,
robust, affordable, building material, which concurrently tackles problems of
unemployment, waste and lack of housing. They can be used vertically as infill in timber-
frame building systems, or horizontally, where they are mortared together with clay or
cement. The use of Eco – Bricks are mainly helpful by reducing waste plastics in our
surroundings which damage various ecosystem.

II. OJECTIVE
1. That we as human being will create concrete awareness about the benefits in
making Eco Bricks project.
2. And will enhance moral values through social interaction by means of responding
our ecosystem needs and be globally friendly.
3. That at the end of the day, this project will lead us to reduce use of plastics though
plastics can turn into house and other things.
4. That we should be responsible enough not to throw our wastes anywhere rather
we will be initiative by conserving plastics into a new and innovative idea.

III. Procedure

1. We gathered 1.5 Coke Plastic bottle. Clean the plastic bottle with soap and we let it
dry for five days until no moist at all. Seeing no moist is no smell as well.
2. We collected and cleaned various types of plastics that can be cuttable. We make
sure that plastics are also clean before cutting it. Dry these plastics.

3. We cut down plastics into smaller pieces and fill in the 1.5 bottle. We’ve used funnel
and a long flat-edged stick to pack them all down until it’s stuffed to the edge and
meets the minimum weight required for the size of our bottle.

 V. SIGNIFICANCE
Usage of plastics is a growing problem worldwide. Plastics are useful and we used it
every day. But what happen is after using it we throw it away that caused a big problem
in our environment. Ecobricks is the real significance to us as a business student,
because during the process of making this ecobricks we have learned a lot. In order for
you to achieve what you want; you must be strong; set your goals and be patient. The
goal starts with a single process like it when you have a dream or ambition and its so far
away you can feel overwhelmed, just do one step at a time and keep chasing until you
make it. Same as the process of making this project you have to exert an effort to finish
and make it as perfect as you because at the end of it you will be able to receive and
feel the fruit of success with high grades.
