Dear Sir,

1. This in reference to above mentioned letter received from your office wherein you have
proposed the design of protection work across High Pressure Petroleum Pipeline of BORL. We
have taken up the matter with our HQ technical teams, and as per the received inputs in view
of the preventive maintenance activities required as well and to carry out urgent repair in case
of any emergency, a revised plan of protection work, which is similar to the one being
constructed by NHAI across Vadinar Bina Pipeline at Jhabua-Petlabad NH road in MP
(drawing attached as annexure-1) is proposed via communication mentioned in reference-2
' above. Hence you are requested to kindly arrange to submit the GAD of the protection work
on similar pattern at earliest for final approval.

2. As per the joint survey carried by representatives of BORL and M/s Bansal Construction, due
to up gradation of existing road approximately 800 meter in length of new proposed road is
encroaching the ROU of Vadinar Bina Pipeline (From NH CH 45+700 to CH 46+300 & NH CH
47+200 to NH gA df +400) and High Pressure Petroleum Pipeline is getting burring under this
section of the new proposed road. (Drawing attached as annexure-2). Please note the
existing design of the pipeline is not designed to bear such kind of external load and may result
on rupture, hence this will not only endanger the integrity of the road structure but also will also
endanger the water bodies, human life nearby to a large scale. Therefore you are requested
to redesign the road alignment in the said road section so that the overlapping of ROU can be
avoided and safety of the High Pressure pipeline can be ensured.

3. Also as per the discussion held during joint site visit and minutes recorded in MOM dated
30.11 .2018, a filling of approx. 7m is coming in front of the approach road of Sectionalizing
Valve (SV) station of High Pressure Petroleum Pipeline in Village Arinavabad at NH CH
47+1OO (Annexure-3). You are requested to kindly submit the GAD of the approach road
to the aforesaid BORL station, please note the said SV station is of outmost importance to
catry out isolation of pipeline section in case of any emergency in petroleum pipeline.

4. The new redesigned road is crossing ROU and High Pressure Petroleum Pipeline at Sironj
Bypass at NH CH 88+100 (VBPL CH 887) with additional filling of 6.5 meter above the
existing soil cover of pipeline. You are requested to kindly submit the GAD of the protection
work similar to the one suggested at Maksudangarh Bypass NFI CH 40.55 (VBPL CH
838.050) or cQnventional pipe casing work can be done at this location by extending existing
casing. On submission of proposal by PWD, final decision in the matter can be taken.

5. Also as per the recorded MOM 30.11.18, resurvey of the Biaora-Sironj road at NH CH
8b+g00 (VBPL CH 885.4) was suggested by you. You are requested to kindly intimate the
tentative schedule of the required resurvey to finalize the design of the crossing.

Dear Sir,

Refer discussion as well as please refer letter received from CA PWD(NH) regarding crossings of
Bioara - Sironj Road across High Pressure Petroleum Pipeline of BORL. As discussed in order to
ensure the safety of underground pipeline as well as to ensure future preventive maintenance
activities, a design of the culvert is hereby proposed, which is similar to the one being constructed
by NHAI across Vadinar Bina Pipeline at Jhabua-Petlabad NH road in MP (drawing attached). You
are requested to kindly provide the GAD and detailed drawing on similar design in order to proceed
further on the matter.
