MY JOURNEY FINAL

Hi! My name is Droplet. I
am going to take you on
a wonderul journey that I
have been taking for
millions of years. "Are
you ready? Let's go..!"
For millions of years, I was frozen on top of a very high mountain and I felt strange because now I was not stiff but loose and sliding fast down
wondered how wonderful it would be to travel and see the whole world. I the mountain. It was scary but I was excited to take this journey. There
had heard so many stories from others. One starry night, I wished upon a were so many other drops that I became friends.

I was now flowing down a fast river that wound through the forest. This
was so much fun and relaxing to feel the warm sun on me. I laughed with
my new friends while bumping and splashing on big boulders. Some of my
friends splashed out on the river banks and separated from us. I was now
curious where will I end up next.
It wasn't long enough before the river became wider and I found myself
falling from a sheer height into a large body of water. For many days, I just
layed around and watched birds, and planes flying around through the
fluffy clouds in the bright blue sky. Oh! how I wished I could be on those
fluffy clouds.
Many, many months went by just relaxing and floating around. I enjoyed
watching the bright sun during the day and the twinkling stars light up the
night sky. There were days when the clouds and the sky above turned dark
black and strong wind blew and knocked all of us around. Then millions of
droplets fell hard back on earth There was so much chaos all around. I
wondered how they ended up in the sky.

It seemed forever to be in just one place and every night I wished to be up
in the sky and see the world from above. One bright sunny day, I felt so
different. I found myself so light and could see myself getting lifted in the
air.
This was such a strange feeling, I was getting lighter and lighter and
floating higher and higher. Eventually, I became a part of a cloud with so
many other droplets and overtime it was getting so cramped. Sometimes
with light wind and other times strong winds carried us so far out that
when peeked down there was no water but tall trees all around.

I drifted in the sky on a small cloud until it joined more and more clouds
and we became so packed that we could no longer move around and then
one day it happened ...
The big clouds burst open and we all fell hard to the ground not knowing
where we would land. I ended up on the ground along with other droplets
and we all got sucked into the soft ground. My journey has ended for now
in the dark dreary place deep inside the earth. I am part of the water cycle
and in time I will move around to another place.
