A landslide, also known as a landslip, is a geological phenomenon that includes a wide range of ground

movements, such as rockfalls, deep failure of slopes, and shallow debris flows. Landslides can occur in
offshore, coastal and onshore environments. landslide is defined as "the movement of a mass of rock, debris,
or earth down a slope" (Cruden, 1991). Landslides are a type of "mass wasting," which denotes any down-
slope movement of soil and rock under the direct influence of gravity.
The causes of landslides are usually related to instabilities in slopes. And because of natural erosion or in
combination with heavy rain, floods, storms, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or proximate construction when
the soil is disturbed.
The only sure way to protect your home against a landslide is to not build your house on or near a slope.
However, we tend to love hillside homes and their attendant views, so we build on all types of lots. There are
some things that can be done to reduce the likelihood of landslides. If the slope in question is solely on your
property, these mitigating actions will be in your control. If the slope is larger in scope, you should consider
who will be in control of these issues.
Another solution is to plant ground cover on slopes. This is to support the slopes with more roots and
this can help from occurrence of landslide
the locals need to understand and apply their knowledge about the occurrence of landslide. The locals
must aware about their areas especially the area that are near steep slopes, lose to mountain edges, near
drainage ways or natural erosion valleys.
In terms of economic aspects, the government needs to upgrade more on the knowledge on natural
phenomenon to the public through media such as internet, seminar and others. By stating more information
regarding the landslide, the locals would know few things about landslide and the way to deal with landslide if
it occurs

A tsunami (plural: tsunamis or tsunami; from Japanese: 津波, lit. "harbor wave";[1] English
pronunciation: /tsuːˈnɑːmi/[2]) , also known as a seismic sea wave, is a series of waves in a water body caused
by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake. Earthquakes, volcanic
eruptions and other underwater explosions (including detonations of underwater nuclear devices),
landslides, glacier calvings, meteorite impacts and other disturbances above or below water all have the
potential to generate a tsunami.[3] Unlike normal ocean waves which are generated by wind ortides which are
generated by the gravitational pull of the Moon and Sun, a tsunami is generated by the displacement of water.

A tsunami is a large ocean wave that is caused by sudden motion on the ocean floor. This sudden motion
could be an earthquake, a powerful volcanic eruption, or an underwater landslide. The impact of a
large meteorite could also cause a tsunami. Tsunamis travel across the open ocean at great speeds and build
into large deadly waves in the shallow water of a shoreline

Tsunami are waves caused by sudden movement of the ocean due to earthquakes, landslides on the sea
floor, land slumping into the ocean, large volcanic eruptions or meteorite impact in the ocean.
