Finding

 Sweat feet may cause the insole smelly. This occurs not only as a result of cold
outside air temperature, but also as a result of in creased skin temperature and
sweating which follows physical exertion such as walking or running[1].
 The design of insole need to be observed in order to overcome prevent bottom of
feet from blisters. The blister caused by of friction between feet's soles and the
shoe's insole[2]. Heat from friction contribute the blister to occur because of
insufficient air circulation that can removed heat from shoes.

 Lifespan of insoles not long lasting . Weight and amount of time spent standing is
another contributing factor. Performing activities such as jogging, running marathons,
or walking frequently can affect the lifespan of your insoles[3]. The material must be
suitable material that can improve the strength of the product and can increase the
lifespan of the product as well.

 No proper molder technology system to molding the product because the cost too
high to buy that technology. The molder is used to molding the shape of each shoes’
insole and automatically, size of insole also being limited. Therefore, we need to find
alternative way to design the molder in to order to molding the insoles and can
produce more insole in difference sizes.
Discussion

The first problem of our study is sweat feet cause the shoes and our feet are smelly. The
solution is we changed the design of the insole by place up aloe vera at the upper layer of
insole. Function of alovera is to absorb the smell of feet and shoes. It is very soothing and
gentle yet, effectively prevents and reduces odor[4]. Aloe also has antibacterial and
antimicrobial properties.

The second problem of our case is blister caused by the friction between bottom feet
with insole. At first, we designed the insole by using gel and put the aloe vera at the
upper layer with smother surface to reduce the friction. Then, we also made
ventilation holes to provide streamline that allow the air flow around it easily, offering
least resistance[5].

The third problem is lifespan of insoles are not long lasting. Insoles made of wool or
cotton terry material will have a shorter lifespan compared to insoles made of foam, gel,
and/or a fabric top cloth. As a rule, some brands have overall longer lives than others
because they are made with different quality materials. So as a solution, we used gel as a
main material to produce our product to make sure the lifespan of our product long lasting.

The last problem of our case study is we don’t have a molder technology system to molding
the insole of shoes. The molding technology is quite expensive compared to we buy for each
molder but the sizing will be limited because we cant create our own molder.
