Universal Design for Learning (UDL): ​ ​This assignment can provide a understanding for each student
regardless of disability such as hearing- disabilities or ESL​. ​The student with hearing disability can perform the
skills in the video and have slides or captions of the description of the activity presented in the video they
created. The students who are ESL learners can also add captions to assist them presenting the activities in
the video. The student who have disabilities can have classmates who are not disabled perform their activity
or find a free video that show the example of the activities being presented in the video.

Lesson idea implementation​:


The assignment will be introduced with my examples of different levels of activities in fitness. After I
introduced my examples, I have the students create a short video with 3 activities(low, medium, and high
level activity) with demonstration of the activity and images with audio either music or voice over. The
student will be assessed by turning the video in, I will grade the video off a rubric that I will present to class
that show the requirements for the video.

The final product will be presented to the class and the class will try the activities. The assignment can be
extended to creating a short workout video as an assignment. The lesson will conclude with the students

trying each other activities, and leading to workout programs creations. I will provide feedback on the
students video on their rubric and return the rubric to them.

Importance of technology: ​The video creation is important to assignment because the video is showing the
student understanding of the different levels of activities and demonstration of each activity. The project can
not be completed because they need technology for recording and to edit,format the video, and submission.
The sense of creation and further discovery using technology in the classroom for better understanding of the
material. The technology being used is phone, ipad, or video camera for the video recording. The other device
is Adobe Spark to format the video in a template.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy:


The possible issues is using the technology for the assignment. The other issue is recording inappropriate
activities. The student privacy can be invaded if another student records them and uploads it to social media
software. To minimize the risk for the students and myself, the students must use the school supplied ipads or
video camera for recording. They would also need to be on the school website during editing as well so they
can not access certain social media outlets. I alleviate the fear of parents for parents and administration by
getting it approved from each one for the assignment and provide an alternate assignment. I would also
follow CIPA and FERPA guidelines.

Reflective Practice:
After creating this assignment idea I believe it can impact the student learning ina positive way by having demonstrate
understanding of different levels of activities and the ability to create a video. The way this assignment can further
extended is leading up to a bigger project of them creating a video workout program to present to the class. A
technology tool that can further enhanced the project is Seesaw website or app.
