THE REFLECTION OF 2ND VIDEO

After looking at the video, there are some points that I can conclude that learning as an activity process
consists of three phases or stages. The phases of the learning process in question include: planning,
implementation, and evaluation stages. The three of them will be discussed as follows.
1) Planning Phase.
Good learning activities always start from a mature plan. Careful planning will show optimal results
in learning.Planning is the process of compiling something that will be implemented to achieve a
predetermined goal. The implementation of the plan can be arranged based on needs in a certain
period in accordance with the wishes of the planning maker. But more importantly, the planning must
be carried out easily and on target.

Similarly, learning planning, which is planned to be in accordance with the education target. The
teacher as the subject in making learning planning must be able to arrange various teaching programs
according to the approach and method that will be used. Some principles that need to be applied are
applied in making preparation for teaching:

 Understand the purpose of education.

 Mastering teaching materials.
 Understand educational theories other than teaching theory.
 Understand the principles of teaching.
 Understand teaching methods.
 Understand learning theories.
 Understand some important teaching models.
 Understand the principles of evaluation.
 Understand the steps to make a lesson plan.

2) Implementation Phase
The stage of implementation of the planning design that the teacher has made. The essence of the
implementation stage is the operational activities of the learning itself. In this stage, the teacher
carries out teaching and learning interactions through the application of various strategies and
learning techniques, as well as the use of a set of media. There are several aspects that need to be
considered in this phase, namely:

 Aspects of the approach to learning

The learning approach is formed by conception, theoretical insights and theoretical assumptions
that are mastered by the teacher about the nature of learning.
 Aspects of Strategy in Learning
Learning as a process, actualization implicates the existence of a strategy. Strategy relates to the
realization of the learning process itself. The learning strategy is in the form of a number of
learning actions carried out by teachers that are considered strategic to actualize the learning
process.
 Aspects of Methods and Techniques in Learning
The method is part of a number of strategic actions that concern the way in which learning
interactions are carried out. The method seen from its function is a set of ways to carry out
learning activities. There are several ways to carry out learning activities, for example by
lecturing, discussing, working in groups, simulating and so on.

3) Evaluation Phases
At this stage the teacher's activity is to assess the learning process that has been carried out.
Evaluation is a tool to measure the achievement of goals. With evaluation, the quantity and quality of
achievement of learning objectives can be measured. Conversely, because evaluation as a measure of
achievement of goals, the benchmark of planning and development is the learning goal.

The video above shows a teacher is carrying out learning activities in the classroom with thematic learning
models. Thematic learning provides the breadth and depth of curriculum implementation, offering students
plenty of opportunities to bring about dynamics in education. Thematic learning is integrated learning that
uses themes to link multiple subjects so as to provide meaningful experiences to students. The theme is the
main idea or idea that is the subject of discussion.

In accordance with the stages of child development, the characteristics of the way children learn, the concept
of learning and learning are meaningful, the learning activities of children in the early SD classes should be
done with thematic learning. Thematic learning as a learning model includes one type / type rather than an
integrated model. The term thematic learning is basically an integrated learning model to associate several
subjects so as to provide meaningful experiences to students. The teacher in the video has also implemented
a thematic learning process according to the correct learning stage, start form planing phases until evaluation
phases.
