The slope and offset gives you an indication of when you need to
clean the probe, when to calibrate with fresh buffers, or even when
to replace the electrode. You can also use the GLP feature to be sure
that GroLine is the most accurate meter you have. All you need to do
is calibrate and access the pH GLP menu.

Accessing the pH GLP screen:

1. Highlight pH from MENU and select GLP. 1. Pull the junction 1/8” using tweezers.
2. Inspect your offset and slope. 2. Cut excess cloth while maintaining a length of at least 1/8”.

GLP also helps you detect if your calibration is good, the probe is
clean, and buffers were not contaminated. You can do this through
the GLP screen:
1. From the GLP screens, use the %& arrows to review
past calibrations.
2. Look for a sudden change in the pH slope between
two calibrations:

Recalibrate using fresh solution and check GLP.

What are some best practices to get me started?

- Always keep your electrode hydrated in storage solution.
- Always rinse, do not wipe or brush the pH portion of
your probe.
- Use fresh buffer for each calibration. Your calibration and
measurements are only as good as your buffer.
- Calibrate often to ensure accurate results.
- Clean your electrode regularly to extend its lifetime.
- Push the HELP button for additional guidance.
