Apresentação
Descrever experiências passadas faz parte do cotidiano
empresarial. Para tanto, apresentações e relatórios se-
rão feitos para informar sobre eventos ocorridos.
Nesta Unidade de Aprendizagem 2, de uma forma es-
pecífica, você será capaz de falar sobre eventos passados
mediante uma apresentação de negócios que utilizará
estruturas do passado simples com verbos regulares
para comunicar uma experiência.
Manter o ritmo de estudos e se dedicar diariamente
ao estudo da Língua Inglesa são atitudes decisivas que
podem contribuir muito para o sucesso da aprendiza-
gem. O contato com a Língua Inglesa será maior, uma
vez que as Unidades são apresentadas nesse idioma. Va-
mos aos estudos, então!

Fundamentos
We use the past simple to talk about actions that happened in the past.
We can use it to talk about a specific point in time. Visit the places, using
your mouse and look at the examples:

When we work with past events, we use time references: last, ago, yester-
day, etc. They are used to emphasize the past. Look at some examples:
Tuesday A week
April
last... Four months ...ago
week / month / year
Two years
winter
Ex.: Last Tuesday, Last April. Ex.: A week ago, Four months ago.

If the verb ends with a consonant plan — planned

Affirmative
To express the past, we use the ed at the end of the verb.
Look at the verbs:
Negative
To express the past in the negative, we use the didn’t or did not. In this case,
it is not necessary to put ed at the end of the verb. Look at the verbs:
Interrogative
To express the past in the interrogative, we use the did before the sub-
ject. In this case, it is not necessary to put ED at the end of the verb. Look
at the verbs:
