APPLICATIONS The ISO-Pump* cuttings collection and conveying ■■ Onshore and offshore rigs unit is a flexible piece of equipment that can ■■ Boats or land be used in different drilling waste management applications. It enables temporary rig storage BENEFITS of oil-base, synthetic-base, and water-base mud ■■ Minimizes crane lifts drill cuttings prior to any subsequent operation, ■■ Complies with environmental guidelines including bulk transfer to boat, cuttings ■■ Creates backup capacity reinjection, cuttings dryer feed and discharge, and even skip filling. The unit is compatible with ■■ System redundancy boat and land transportation of cuttings for final FEATURES disposal or recycling process. ■■ Fully enclosed unit The ISO-Pump unit is rugged and has only one ■■ Pneumatically operated moving part—the outlet valve. Additionally, ■■ Small footprint the conical design ensures complete discharge ■■ Buffer storage capacity of materials. The footprint is 8 ft × 8.5 ft [2.44 m × 2.59 m], which minimizes space ■■ Independent operation requirements for allocated cuttings storage. ■■ Det Norske Veritas (DNV) certified It has a gross capacity of 3,990/530 galUS/ft3 [15,122/15 L/m3 ], and will hold up to 28 tonUS [25 t] of cuttings. Discharge of the ISO-Pump unit is pneumatic, requiring a compressed air supply normally provided by a separate compressor. No other utilities are required. The ISO-Pump unit can be filled in either the vertical or horizontal position, but it must be in the vertical ISO-Pump units may be used in conjunction with position to discharge. It is normally filled via a two specified accessory items: CLEANCUT* cuttings collection and transportation system, or by another ISO-Pump unit. ■■ The weigh platform is a framework designed to support the ISO-Pump unit in a vertical position and includes hydraulic load cells and weight gauge. ■■ The rig installation module (RIM) provides an easy-to-install load-spreading base for the ISO-Pump unit and weigh platform. It provides a mounting location for an R-valve and all the air and material pipework required to operate the unit. The RIM includes all permanent pipework manifold sections but not the R-valve and flexible connection hoses.
