 Understanding and telling in one’s own words the chapter
read and give opinions of the text
 Recognising elements in a story such as characters and
characteristics
 Explaining the message the writer is trying to convey and
discussing how this relates to one’s life
LEARNING STANDARD :
I. Finding out the meaning of unfamiliar words by using
contextual clues and the dictionary
II. Retelling the chapter in one’s own words.
III. Narrating the sequence of events
IV. Describing characters
LEARNING OBJECTIVES : Students will be able to

1. Understand difficult vocabularies

ACTIVITIES:
I. PRE-LESSON 1. Teacher introduces the novel.

II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT :


1. Students read the chapter.
2. Students match the difficult vocabs with their meanings
(round table) and discuss the plot.
3. Students present their interpretations of the chapter (gallery
walk)
4. Students answer comprehension questions.
III. POST- LESSON :
I. Students role-play the chapter.
