It should also be noted that the most significant part of the data set up
(modeling) of this functionality within Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM)
has existed prior to Release 12.

6. Implementation Considerations
If upgrading to Release 12 it is possible that you have production recipes
with the modeling of Complex Routings already in place as this
functionality has existed within OPM prior to Release 12. As ASCP has been
unable to plan on the basis of Complex Routings prior to Release 12 you
may have implemented Planning Recipes for these same items to enable
ASCP to plan. If this is the case the Validity Rule for this planning recipes
can be end dated (set to yesterday) and the existing Production Recipes
can now be used for planning. This has the additional advantage of
enabling the conversion of planned order recommendations (PLOs) into
OPM batches using the same recipes.
The main setup for the establishment of Complex Routings has existed in
OPM for some time. In particular it is the setting of the Dependency Type
(Start to Start, Finish to Start) in the Routing Step Dependency form that
can now be used by ASCP. Prior to this enhancement ASCP planned on
the basis of Finish to Start and for a linkage between a single feeding
(source) operation to a single consuming (destination) operation. This
restriction has now been removed from ASCP and so Start to Start
Dependency can now be used to establish parallel operations and either
Dependency Type can be used against multiple down stream operations or
multiple upstream operations can have dependencies to a single
downstream operation.

9. Troubleshooting Tips
There are no feature specific debug facilities available for this feature.
Has the feedback routine actually been able to use the details
passed from ASCP or has it defaulted to the standard GME Batch
Creation routines. Try setting GMP:Auto Implement APS
Suggestions to Yes and release a similar recommendation then view
the log file in the concurrent program Auto Release of Planning
suggestions for APS (GMPRELAP) and see if there are error
messages pertaining to the batch creation.
This request log file would be on the ERP Source instance if you
have a distributed installation
