Personal Biography

Charley Whitney joined doTerra’s public relations team January 1, 2019 as its newest account
coordinator. She offers an innovative mindset to strategy and planning. Her expertise is in social media
campaigns and event management. Whitney has experience in promoting start-up companies and medical
organizations. Her passion for health, combined with her skill-set in public relations, allow her to
successfully build awareness for products and people within the industry.

Previously, Whitney was the driving force in planning three successful conferences featuring holistic
medical professionals in Utah. The conferences were titled “Holistic Healing” and gave homeopathic
physicians the opportunity to network with likeminded medical professionals. The medical conferences
are still being held biannually and continue to increase in participant number. Whitney was a public
relations specialist for Dixie State University (DSU). While at DSU, she organized events and gave
informative presentations for current students, incoming freshman and neighboring high schools. Whitney
also worked as a yoga instructor for two years, where she gained an extensive knowledge of key
audiences for doTerra products. In addition, she organized and implemented public relations strategies for
several startup companies. The startup companies she worked with include Inspire Integrative Medicine
and Root to Rise Studio.

Whitney will direct the doTerra public relations team in planning and executing events for key audiences
in the community. All communication with community members regarding events will be directed
through her. In addition, she will aid the public relations team in building brand awareness through social
media, the company website, print materials and promotional events. Specifically, Whitney will focus on
social media content development, analyzation and event updates. She will educate doTerra employees on
social media tactics, key messages and product benefits.

She graduated from Weber State University magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in public relations
and advertising and a minor in health promotions. Whitney was a keynote speaker on social media usage
at the Public Relations Society of America conference (PRSA). She was awarded the Public Relations
Specialist of the Year during the conference in 2018. She received the accolade for her unconventional
strategies in building relationships and reaching target audiences. Whitney cultivated a love for the
outdoors from a young age. She enjoys snowboarding, hiking, boating and spending time with family.
