PROFILE

I am dedicated to helping children find their love for learning. I am open minded, flexible, creative, empathetic,
and focused. I value high expectations, positivity, and a strengths based focus within the classroom. I view
children as capable and competent in every way, and value the love and logic approach.
WORK EXPERIENCE WITH CHILDREN

O’Dea Elementary School, Fort Collins, CO January 2019- Present

 Student Teacher, 2nd Grade:


o Responsibilities include teaching whole group and small group lessons for Guided Reading,
English Language Arts, Envision math, Rocket Math, Social Studies, and Science while utilizing
extensions and modifications. Gaining experience with the Core Knowledge approach.
Implements daily homework, quizzes, and assessments while successfully facilitating classroom
management and creating positive relationships with the students. Attends grade level planning
and data meetings, actively engages, and contributes to the conversation. Creates relationships
with parents through attending conferences, posting and monitoring SeeSaw, and doing positive
calls home.
o Extra duties include attending all meetings such as RTI and data meetings with all staff, and
attending leadership meetings and aiding the liaison between the leadership team and 2nd grade
team. Administered COGAT testing. Implemented “Paragraph of the Week” within the
classroom and shared with other classrooms, to help students gain better skills in writing.
Invited the Vice Principal to observe a lesson in order to improve my teaching approach and
lessons.
Rams Kidz Village, Fort Collins, CO August 2017- Present

 Assistant Manager of Curriculum Development: Earned two promotions from volunteer to Activities
Assistant to Assistant Manager. Provide childcare for students of CSU while creating a nourishing
learning environment. Implements lessons plans for children of all ages and abilities. Trains other
employees on how to create and implement lesson plans, and how to make RKV an educational child
care center using communication, leadership, problem solving skills, and an “Education in Disguise”
approach.

Shepardson Elementary School, Fort Collins CO August 2018- December 2018


 Practicum Student:
o Math Intervention: Responsibilities included implementing math intervention and math games
for a 3rd grade student. Lesson plans and SMART goals were based on data from DIBELS.
o Kindergarten Classroom: Responsibilities included implementing lesson plans while co-teaching
with another cohort member, and creating an Understanding by Design curriculum plan in
collaboration with other cohort members.
Shepardson Elementary School, Fort Collins, CO January 2018- May 2018

 Practicum Student: Responsibilities included aiding in the preschool classroom, implementing lesson
plans, and coteaching with the mentor teacher. Other responsibilities included observing and
documenting children. Lastly, I created a curriculum mini unit for classroom.

 Practicum Student: Responsibilities included creating and implementing Jan Richardson guided
reading lessons and running records for a kindergarten student.
Early Childhood Center, Fort Collins, CO September 2015- December 2017

 Practicum Student: Responsibilities included creating a nourishing and educational childcare


environment for infants that focused on literacy and numeracy.
 Practicum Student: Gained professional and communication skills while connecting with teachers and 9
toddlers, aged 1-2 years old. Developed a provocation and wrote many observations.
