happens to the immigrants, how
they are treated, how does that
affect them and how can we help
them.
What is happening
in Greece?
- Lesbos in greece is an area
with many immigrants as
it is neighbor with.
- Afghanistan, Pakistan,
Syria, Egypt, Sudan,
Eritrea and Libya.
- Because there are more
and more immigrants in
greece.
- They get unpaid jobs close
to slavery
- Unhealthy and
unsustained living areas.

- Many refugees were attacked by
greek men that were in the golden
dawn and they are very badly
treated.
Hidden side of greece
- In the course of the visit, the (CPT) Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or
Degrading Treatment received a number of credible allegations of police ill-treatment (slaps,
punches, kicks, baton blows, and verbal abuse).

- The information above explains and dictates that the greek community tries to hide the fact that
they treat immigrants badly.

- A documentary on immigrants in Greece by vice news shows that different journalist were
threatened not to film them. In the documentary, the immigrants that are questioned are very
scared that their boss was going to come back and threaten the journalist.

- Refugees risk their life trying to escape their home country to come to Greece. In 2014 a health
organization working with refugees in camps stated that the living conditions were full of disease
and grotesque.
What actions are taken?
- There is very little actions taken.
- That’s why I chose this topic.
- I believe that people or students could
apply on an exchange to Greece to help
and contribute to the abolition of
abusive treatment to immigrants.
- And this would count as a community
service.
Why I chose this format to display my
campaign?
- I chose to do a presentation as it is easy to communicate with the audience
when your presenting and they can interact.
- The audience can tell me if they have any other contributions or ideas and it
is easy to edit or change it.
- Finally it is easy to transport it or share it with people.
