I believe that we students have a huge responsibility of adding values to this world.

The evils of greed,

anger and indisciplined nature need to be tackled now. The aspiration of humans for wealth and
resources has led to a wide range of discoveries from gold to oil. The economical growth has given us
a kind of wealth that used to be a stuff of fairy tales and the Industrial revolution gave us superhuman
powers and practically limitless energy. But are we happier than before? Did the wealth humankind
accumulate over the last few centuries translate into a new found contentment? Did it add values to
humanity? No, because our bliss of happiness lies in hands of the creator. Desire is an evil that would
never end. William Shakespeare wrote that all the world is a stage and we are the players. The
common role of students on this stage is of being honest, calm, respectful and considerate and of
doing something noble that after diving in the cosmic void we could be accountable to the creator
about our actions here. To stop our persecution there we need to follow certain set of rules. These
rules are called discipline. These rules must be followed genuinely and are not supposed to be
enforced. Discipline is a philosophy of life which is proficient enough to unite whole human race. But
how? For most part of human history this world was full of murders, fights and chaos. To salvage us
from this disordered state we saw the emergence of religious philosophies but these religions resulted
in even more conflicts because they promoted social differences. But the idea of discipline has made
us think of ourselves as humans, a single entity, leaving the imagined social order and racial
differences behind. Discipline is a vital feature of humans. Without discipline we are beast. As
torchbearers to this world, we students must introspect our thoughts. We are the forebearers of our
future. We have to leave footprints for our upcoming generations. It is important for us to be honest
and calm which is quite deficient in us nowadays. Our being disciplined today will take this world one
step ahead tomorrow. The role of discipline is very important in deciding the fate of a country.

The growing use of smartphones and internet is often held liable for spoiling youth but it is us who
use them and not they who use us. It is said that knowledge can be gained anywhere but to attain
true knowledge a teacher is must. However, in the cacophony of competitions and studies students
tend to promote a lack of respect for their teachers which is totally insane and in contrast we pledge
to respect our elders everyday. The importance of discipline in our overall development as humans
should not be neglected. This is the age to leave the desires and choose the path of knowledge and
honesty to attain salvation. As students we come across many crossroads. One road takes us to a
bright future of ours and this globe whereas the other one degenerates us into ultimate darkness. Our
future depends on what crossroad we choose today. It is not too late yet but with each coming day
retracing the path will become tougher.

Honesty and discipline are vital stages in the development of a person. The true purpose of life is to
be kind to others. The moral values which we inculcate in us today will prove to be biggest assets of
ours and coming generations. Instead of going into ultimate darkness we should choose the right
crossroad. Its time to correct our mistakes and ignite the fire in our hearts to make a difference to this
world, to be kind to others, to be respectful to others and ( to sum up) to be disciplined.
