DEVDAY 2019 REPORT
Described as the most interactive and anticipated IT event in Da Nang, DevDay Da Nang has
grown up rapidly since its first launch in 2015 to around 4500 and thousands of online viewers.
Gathering people from all levels of the IT sector including IT students, software engineers,
managers, educators and entrepreneurs representating diserver perspectives, DevDay has
developed a unique and vibriant community in Da Nang.
DevDay Da Nang is a non-profit event dedicated to Da Nang IT community. In 2019, DevDay Da
Nang continues to be-organized by Da Nang University of Science and Technology and Anox
Active Vietnam, and the event is also supported by AgilityOI, Est rouge, KMS Technology, Code
Engine Studio, mgm Technology parners, Netnam, MTI Technilogy, Vending Machines
Vietnam.. and media suport units Ybox, ICT Da Nang, ICTnews... more than. After fours seasons,
the event has gathered more than 5,000 participants who are students, experts, software
engineers, educators, managers, entrepreneurs. Especially, nearly 80 international and local
speakers.
On a misson to insprise IT community, DevDay has been consistently delivering interactive
seminars with the lasted technology topics, many IT recruiting booths attracting potential
candidates and the Closing Party bringing Da Nang IT community together. Following to the
event, the main theme at DevDay this year is UX/UI- one of the most concerned trends in
technology circles. Besides, this year the event also brought 43 topics that programmers are
very interested in such as virtual reality/ augmented reality, Agile/ Scrum, software testing, web
security, cloud computing,etc... as well as share skills, training and career guidance, software
project management.
I am very happy to be one of the participants in this event- which one of the most anticipated
IT events in Da Nang. The first thing that impressed me most about this event was the highly
professional and high-quality graphics website, along with the event that fully formalized all
electronic check-in procedures ( Application included Application). This shows me why DevDay
can grow quickly into a community within 5 years like today. With that in mind, with the style
and attitude of service and guidance of DevDay members, I realize that in order to have a
strong, individual DevDay community in DevDay has been trained in a right way in each
position. From these first impressions, I learned that in order to have a strong business,
community, management must be careful from the lowest positions, attitudes and training to
create a brand of business.

Next, true to the goal of becoming a knowledge-sharing and inspiring developer, DevDay Da
Nang has brought me the persuasive experiences and conferences as well as brought me to 17
public booths the technology of businesses. I am completely caught up in the way that speakers
talk about their topic, their self-confidence and soft skills like body language, tone,
communication ... and knowledge base as well as the experience they shared with me. I
participated in Szilard Toth- CTO at e-pilot and Nicolas Python-Head of Design at KLARA
Business AG. They showed me the power of UX / UI and the import of UX designer in a
technology group through the numbers to explain why you will lose without UX Design. From
the experiences and the background knowledge they shared, I realized the importance of UX /
UI in the current technology industry and the values that UX / UI created.

With the presentation of Mr Toth and Mr Python, I really like how they design slides through
numbers, icons and how they use the colour and movement of a slide. It was very cool and cool,
it made my eyes satisfied with the simplicity but not monotonous in their slides, the colour
change stimulated the cells in my eyes, and that really It is difficult to describe. Not only that,
they brought me the screen of a very impressive speech and that sentence would probably
become a clear definition for me about UX / UI. "Design is more than feeling: it is a CEO-level
priority for growth and long-term performances."

I also participated in another lecture by Mr Christophe Ngo, founder and president at Code
Engine Studio. The theme of the presentation was "As I wish I knew when I was a 23-year-old
programmer", he talked about what he had learned over nearly 20 years of experience in the
IT industry, advice for future programmers. During this talk, Christophe gave me positive things
in life, thoughts about the future, as well as how he chose things in his life on the way to success.
of today. He gives me very useful lessons about life, how to help me orient my choices in the

future. As you know, he gives a lot of definitions of success, success when you have a lot of
money or success when you have power. Honestly, those things can't trade your passion. For
Mr Christophe, pursuing passion and living with your passion is success in life, because it is the
passion for work that makes you feel like you live in every moment of your life. I realized that
Christophe is a man who values human dignity and attitudes more than anything when he was
an employee he chose for himself a good manager instead of a job with a high salary. I sat under
the stands and wondered about the reason he gave that advice, extremely valuable advice,
your first boss is the one who produces success in your work, also is the person you learn the
most. Christophe always put quality on the top, what he is aiming for is the perfection of all
aspects of any one product, because the quality is the measure of the brand. For me, I only
speak through lessons and tips given by Christophe showing me that he is a visionary and
dedicated leader with his brainchild - Code Engine Studio- a boutique software company in Da
Nang with its mission is to unleash God-given potential in our team to do amazing work beyond
their wildest dreams and become visionary leader who can wholeheartedly serve and change
our community for the better.

5
Back to DevDay Event 2019 Da Nang, the values, the look, the lessons that I received through
talented speakers, made me make changes in my perception. I hope DevDay Da Nang will
become more and more successful, continue to build resounding events today, to help Da Nang
IT community soon become one of the leading IT communities in Vietnam. And in the end, I
would like to thank Ms Merriane, who brought me to this event, giving me the opportunity to
get new perspectives and new knowledge.
