MSCP : IBS Installation Steps & Guideline

STEP 1 : GROUND FLOOR PREPARATION

• Preparation of foundation
• Casting of In-situ column stumps / ground beams
with protruding starter bars ready to receive
Precast Columns
• Before start precast column installation, installer
will mark control line for precast column
• Document needed such as site survey report

STEP 2A : COLUMN INSTALLATION

• Installer will install require number of shim plate


to make sure bottom of column level is correct
• Shim plate to be at an interval 500mm c/c

STEP 2B : COLUMN INSTALLATION

• Precast column slotted into protruding starter


bar

STEP 2C : COLUMN INSTALLATION

• Column is propped to the required level and


verticality using :
• Plumb beam – verify position on floor
below
• Spirit level – beam verticality
• Theodolite – level
• Tolerance from intended position :
• Horizontal = +/- 2 mm
• Vertical = +/- 2 mm

STEP 2D : COLUMN INSTALLATION

• Column grouted with high strength non-shrink


grout (Optimix)

STEP 3A : BEAM INSTALLATION

• Pre-Cast Beam lifted into position (corbel


connection)
• Scissor lift being used instead of long ladder

STEP 3B : BEAM INSTALLATION

• Grout corrugated sleeve at corbel connection

STEP 4 : HOLLOW CORE SLAB INSTALLATION

• Hollow Core Slab (HCS) lifted into position using


spreader beam & clamp

STEP 5 : BEAM TOP CONCRETE CASTING

• Fixing beam top reinforcement & concrete for


structural ties

STEP 6 : SHEAR KEY JOINT GROUT

• Hollow Core Slab (HCS) shear key joint grout for


floor ties

STEP 7 : STAIRCASE INSTALLATION

• Position shim plates at staircase support location


to correct level
• Precast staircase lifted into position using lifting
wire rope
• Tolerance 10mm gap between precast plank and
staircase
