many life in all situations. People can donate their blood at any hospitals, clinics
and campaign that approved by Malaysia Health Department. A donor must be
at least 17 years old, in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and a donor is
obliged to pass health history and physical history reviews. We need blood
component because most surgical or medical procedures required more blood to
proceeds all the operations. There are some category of people who cannot
donate their blood, for example people who suffer AIDS, tuberculosis, chronic
illness and anyone on antibiotics. Now, I would like to inform to all of you
about the trend of blood donor in Malaysia which is increased from year to
year.
Based on the graph, the number of blood donors in 2012 is highest with
646,845 people compared the number of blood donors in 2011 is 627,470
people. On the other hand, in 2009, the number of blood donors decreased Start point

blood donors steadily increased from year to year. The National Statistic of
Blood Donation showed that the number of blood donors in 2007 is increased
with 507,461 people compared the number of blood donors in 2006 with
477,365 people. From the graph, we can observe that the number blood donors
in 2012 is highest with 646,845 people compared to 2006 which is have the
lowest number of blood donors with 477,365 people. On the other hand, we also
can observe the statistic of people that involved donate their blood steady
increase over the years. Based on the graph, the statistic of the number of blood
donors in 2012 have the highest donor compared the other years.
Finally, any government should mainly emphasize on the awareness
rising initiatives to encourage people to facilitate their communities as
donors. Blood donation should be perceived as mutually supportive process
everyone should be aware of so that our knowledge and spreading it to others
can reap many benefits in the long run. Parents should talk their children to
realise that blood donation is a noble thing that they should teach earlier.
