Hello Guys

On this occasion we will invite you to know more about the kingdom in Banten

if we talk about the kingdom in Banten, it is interesting, in the province of Banten, especially in
the district of Pandeglang, it turns out there is a historic heritage from the kingdom of
Salakanagara. And it is said that the kingdom of Salakanagara was the first Kingdom in the
archipelago

curious?, what and how the kingdom of Salaka Nagara actually is?

for more details, let's explore together the history of the kingdom of Salakanagara

Based on the Wangsakerta Manuscript - Rajyarajya i Bhumi Nusantara Library (compiled by a

committee with its chairman Prince Wangsakerta) it is estimated that the Salakanagara Kingdom
was the first kingdom in the archipelago

Whereas according to the text of the Rajyarajya I Bhumi Nusantara Library, one of the kingdoms
is Salakanagara on the island of Java (meaning: silver country). Salakanagara was founded in 52
Saka (130/131 AD).

For the location of the kingdom is located in Teluk Lada, Pandeglang district, a district famous
for its metal products (Pandeglang in Sundanese stands for clever words and geulang which
means bracelet makers)

Dr. Edi Ekajati, Sundanese historians, estimate that the location of the royal capital is the city of
Merak now (merak in Sundanese means "making silver")

Then partly estimate that the kingdom is located around Mount Salak, based on the
pronunciation of the word "Salaka" and the word "Salak"(kind of fruits) which is almost the
same

Actually, in South Banten there are a lot of stories that offer a very interesting history. One of
them is the history of the kingdom of Salakanagara, which is still a controversy between
historians and archaeologists. But places like the Cihunjuran, Citaman, Pulosari and Ujung
Kulon sites are places that can uncover and store many things about the existence of the
Salakanagara Kingdom. For example, in Cihunjuran, in the middle of the expanse of rice fields
there are several ancient stones (menhirs) and ancient bathing pools precisely like the Megalithic
era

Not only rocks and ancient pools that add to the attractiveness of Cihunjuran, the funeral of Aki
Tirem Luhur Mulia or better known by the local community by the name Angling Dharma in
Hindu names and Wali Jangkung in the name of Islam, the size of the funeral is not like a funeral
in general the more exotic value of the place has increased. Legal

Then there are Batu Dolmen, a pile of menhirs and Batu Dakon and Batu Peta, which until now
no one able to translate the contents of the map further adds to the exoticism of historical value
on the Cihunjuran website.

And do you know if the kingdom of Salakanagara has existed since the 1st century?

Well, that's right, that the kingdom of Salakanagara was the oldest kingdom in the archipelago.
The first king of the Kingdom was Dewawarman

Dewawarman is an ambassador from the Kingdom of India who was sent to the archipelago
(Java), then Dewawarman was married by Aki Tirem Luhur Mulia with his daughter named
Larasati Sri Pohaci, then after Dewawarman became son-in-law of Aki Tirem Luhur His Majesty
was appointed Dewawarman to become King I (first) who bear the reins of power of the
Salakanagara Kingdom

When he became King, Dewawarman I was named Prabhu Dharmalokapala Dewawarman Haji
Raksagapurasagara. The kingdom of Salakanagara had its capital at Rajatapura which until 363
became the center of the Government of the Kings of Dewawarman (from Dewawarman I-VIII)

Earlier We had a chance to discuss a bit that I was the father-in-law of Dewawarman, so actually
is there another name for Aki Tirem Luhur Mulia?

He was the father-in-law of the first ruler of the kingdom of Salakanagara. Dewawarman is better
known by the local community (Cihunjuran) with the name Prabu Angling Dharma and Wali
Jangkung

This name then becomes a question whether Angling Dharma / Wali Jangkung is just an ordinary
folktale without facts or is the name Angling Dharma / Wali Jangkung really really another name
for Aki Tirem Luhur Mulia? But if this is true, then is the Angling Dharma in Central Java with
the Cihunjuran version of Angling Dharma? There is one more interesting thing that must be
questioned. If indeed Angling Dharma is another name for Aki Tirem Luhur Mulia, then what
about the Wali Jangkung. Isn't the title Guardian only for people who embrace Islam? Then what
exactly is the religion adopted by Aki Tirem Luhur Mulia? Is Islam or Hindu? Is the Tirem
Luhur Mulia battery (real name) Muslim or Hindu? But from the rituals carried out by the local
community, it can be interpreted that Aki Tirem Luhur Mulia has been Islamized by local
residents

It can be seen from the rituals carried out by the local people on the disputed site of the
Salakanagara kingdom: the pilgrimage carried out at the tomb of Aki Tirem Luhur Mulia uses
Islamic procedures ranging from ablution and recitation of pilgrimage
Furthermore, there is evidence of Salakanagara heritage: first there is the Menhir Cihunjuran, in
the form of three Menhirs located in a spring, the first is located in the Cikoneng Village area.
The second Menhir is located in Mandalawangi District, the northern slope of Mount Pulosari.
The third Menhir is located in Saketi Subdistrict, on the slopes of Mount Pulosari, Pandeglang
Regency. Without providing precision dimensions and administrative locations, the map appears
to be on the northwest slope of Mount Pulosari, not far from the village of Cilentung, Saketi
District. The stone resembles the Kawali II inscription stone in Ciamis and Slate in Bogor. The
local tradition connects this stone as a place where Maulana Hasanuddin saves chickens with
Pucuk Umum

Then there are Dolmen; located in the village of Batu Ranjang, Palanyar Village, Cimanuk
District, Pandeglang Regency. Shaped like a flat stone 250 cm long and 110 cm wide, called
Batu Ranjang. Made of andesite stone which is worked very smoothly with a flat surface with
circular temple carvings supported by four supports which are 35 cm high each. On the
surrounding land and at the bottom of the rock there is empty space. Underneath there are
foundations and river stones that keep the supporting pillar from sinking into the ground.
Dolmen is found without other megalithic elements, except for two hollow stones located in the
east

There are also Stone Magnets; located on the summit of Mount Pulosari, at the top location of
Rincik Manik, Saketi Village, Saketi District, Pandeglang Regency. That is a stone that is quite
unique, because when measuring direction with a compass, even though it is placed around a
stone from various wind directions, the compass needle always points to the stone.

Batu Dakon; Located in Mandalawangi District, precisely on the Cihunjuran site. This stone has
several holes in the middle and serves as a place to mix medicines

interestingly there is Putri Waterfall Waterfall; located on the slopes of Mount Pulosari,
Pandeglang Regency. According to folklore, this waterfall was once a bathing place for Nyai
Putri Rincik Manik and Ki Roncang Omas. At that location, there are various kinds of rocks in
the form of a square, which are scattered beneath the waterfall

Now the place that is now a public tourist attraction, Prabu Angling Dharma Bathing, is located
on the Cihunjuran site, Pandeglang Regency. According to folklore, this bath was once used by
Prabu Angling Dharma or Aki Tirem or Wali Jangkung
