INTRODUCTION:

Your actions become your habits,

Your habits become your values,

Your values become your destiny.

(Mahatma Gandhi)

We stared of with this quote as it very beautifully explains that are habits, feelings
and life experience reflects our values. How we express ourselves shows the values
we have.

Q. Why we choose this topic?

As Your values form the foundation of your life. They dictate the choices you make
and determine the direction that your life takes. To see how much people
nowadays are aware of their values and what importance it has in our life. Basically
we wanted to know others perspective and also with the help of our vlog aware
people about it.

What is a value?
Value can be explained in the following ways:

 Qualities, characteristics, or ideas about which we feel strongly.

 A belief or feeling that someone or something is worthwhile.
 Values define what is of worth, what is beneficial, and what is harmful.
 Values are principles or standards of behavior; one's judgement of what is

Values – Goals – Behavior
These three things values, our goals and behavior our interlinked as:
 Values give direction and consistency to behavior.
 Values help you know what to and not to make time for.
 Values establish a relationship between you and the world.
 Values set the direction for one’s life.

Sources of values
The following are from where we get our values from:

o Our homes,
o School,
o Community
o Society,
o Friends,
o TV,
o Books,
o Families,
o Culture,
o Teachers

Types of Values

 Personal values are the things that are important to us, the
characteristics and behaviors that motivate us and guide our
decisions. For example, maybe you value honesty. ... Those are just
two examples of personal values out of many. Everyone has their
own personal values, and they can be quite different
 A culture's values are its ideas about what is good, right, fair, and
just. The commonly held standards of what is acceptable or
unacceptable, important or unimportant, right or wrong, workable
or unworkable, etc., in a community or society.
 Moral values such as integrity, determination, loyalty, truthfulness,
honesty, giving respect to each other etc should be inherited by
every individual. As stated earlier moral values help us distinguish
between what's right and wrong, good or bad for you

2
 Spiritual Value is more of an individual practice, and has to do with
having a sense of peace and purpose. It also relates to the process of
developing beliefs around the meaning of life and connection with
others. Respect others' beliefs.

Importance of Values
 It’s not hard to make decisions once you know what your
values are.
 They help in creating norms to guide day-to-day behavior.
 They build up societies, integrate social relations.
 They mold the ideal dimensions of personality and range and
depth of culture.
 They influence people’s behavior and serve as criteria for
evaluating the actions of others.
 They have a great role to play in the conduct of social life.

CONCULSION:
We have concluded this from our survey question as you could see in
the vlog that students have awareness about values and their
importance. What we learnt from it is that all views differ from each
other and we should respect this diversity and live happily.
