Note: Footing details contained herein are to be read in conjunction with the footing layout plan prepared by the Engineer,
standard construction details and the Specifications for footing construction.
The footing type recommended is considered the most appropriate for the site and proposed building and in compliance with AS
2870 - 2011, Australian Standard Residential Slabs and Footings - Construction.

Footing Type: 1. RC Raft to be founded a minimum of 200mm into controlled fill.

2. Slab on ground to be 100mm thick reinforced with SL72 fabric placed at
25mm from the top surface. (u.n.o).

Inspections
Inspections are necessary and will be carried out by this office on request at the following stages:
(1) at completion of trench excavation and prior to placing of waterproof membrane.
(2) on completion of reinforcement placement and prior to concreting.

Stormwater Drainage
It is extremely important for proper functioning of the recommended footings to ensure adequate stormwater disposal.
The site and drainage plan indicates minimum requirements for stormwater disposal.

General

It is imperative that the Owner is aware of his responsibilities with regard to site management. The Owner’s attention is drawn to
the CSIRO Division of Building Research pamphlet - “Guide to Home Owners on Foundation Maintenance and Footing
Performance”.
