 Introduction
Apne Sapne welfare society dehradun was Established in the year 2014, Apne
Sapne Welfare Society (Apne Sapne Ngo) in Subhash Nagar, Dehradun is a top
player in the category Orphanages in the Dehradun. This well-known
establishment acts as a one-stop destination servicing customers both local and
from other parts of Dehradun. Over the course of its journey, this business has
established a firm foothold in it’s industry. Apne sapne NGO has been working
on the lifestyle and lifestyle of the helpless and needy children in the last four
years from September 2, 2014 in Dehradun. Apne spne NGO is currently working
in education and social upliftment of more than 120 needy children. Presently,
NGOs are running a project called Project URDAN, Project Pratibha, Project
Smile, Project Face to Face, Project har pait Roti by the NGO.
We talked to the president of the ngo mr. arun kumar yadav and questioned about
their motives behind teaching these childrens. He told us about his inspirational
story about his friend where he helped his friend who was not able to pay his fees
so, he paid his fees and inspired him to study.
He told told us about the importance of education in person’s life and shared his
experince and said
When I started thinking about why education is so important, I remembered my
high school years when I used to spend almost five hours a month on math
homework, wake up at 6:00 AM and get ready for my cricket practice after
school. I remembered my teachers, school subjects, the study and the fun! I never
really hated school. But I have seen many of my peers who hated going to school
I have had some friends who did not like the idea of studying. Some needed to be
up in summer school for recovery. I personally was always focused because I
wanted to become an army man. I know it will be hard and very challenging.
However I believe I can handle the challenge. The first thing that strikes me about
education is knowledge gain. Education gives us a knowledge of the world around
us and changes it into something better. It develops in us a perspective of looking
at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life. People
debate over the subject of whether education is the only thing that gives
knowledge. Some say education is the process of gaining information about the
surrounding world while knowledge is something very different. They are right.
But then again, information cannot be converted into knowledge without
education. Education makes us capable of interpreting things, among other things.
It is not just about lessons in textbooks. It is about the lessons of life. One thing I
wish I can do is, to provide education for all no child left behind and change the
world for good

Indias poverty problem sees children “caught in the crossfire” they are forced into
child labour so that they can serve as asest to the family. Despite 2006 amendment
to the child labour prohibihition and regulation act that amitiously aims to cover
lakhs of child labourers below the age of 14, poverty has still ensnared India’s
children into child labour this has made the role of non govermental organisation
and civil society even more important. Below we discuss some ways and means
through which NGOs contribute to ending child labour in India.

Stress from housing conditions, poor nutrition, and other factors can affect a
child's physical and cognitive development. This can lead to mental conditions
that impact a student's motivation and desire to do well in school. With a warm
coat, children are also less likely to be ill and have a higher attendance rate.
 Areas of Interest

1. Education: Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life:
the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and
the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues from
healthcare to appropriate social behaviour to understanding one's rights and
in the process help him/her evolve as a better citizen. Doubtless, education
is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation. But child education
cannot be done in isolation. A child will go to school only if the family,
particularly the mother, is assured of healthcare and empowered.
Moreover, when an elder sibling is relevantly skilled to be employable and
begins earning, the journey of empowerment continues beyond the present
generation.

2. Innovative Teaching: Many technical tools are being successfully used

and have greatly helped kids in learning various skills practically.

3. Health and Nutrition: They provide robust health and nutrition benefit to
the children coming from the most marginalized communities.

4. Help to the Family of Children: The NGO also supports the family of the
child by giving them financial support so that the family doesn’t need to
send his child for work.
We met two real life hero who fought with their situation after many
ups and downs and went to Ngo and got their name registered in the
school. One of them was 5-year child Ajay, a garbage collector who
used to collect garbage and earns Rs 20 daily and feed his mother and
sister. Mr. Arun Kumar Yadav (President) asked Ajay whether he want
to study. Ajay told yes but his parents denied for his studies as they
won’t be able eat if Ajay will not work. So, Mr. Arun agreed to pay
Ajay’s parents Rs 20 daily and his parents agreed for his studies, then
Ajay went to Apne sapne NGO and got his name registered in
government school and was provided with many necessary items like
copy, school bag, stationary items, new clothes. Ngo also provide him
with tuition after his school hours. He went to NGO when he was 8 and
now, he is in class five and topper of his school and he also greet people
in very wise way.
Another girl Chandani, a rape victim was also interviewed by us. She shared her
story in the most courageous manner as witnessed in the video submitted along
with the report. She succumbed from getting raped by her very own maternal
uncle. On the very day, she took a step further and stood for herself by narrating
the incident to the founder of the NGO. The NGO “Apne Sapne” Foundation
immediately aided her and helped her grow as an individual and today she has
her head held high with a beaming smile on her face. She has a keen interest in
dancing and reportedly wants to become a police officer. The NGO focusses
greatly on her education and also looks forward for overall development of many
such young girls who have been subject to such atrocities. Mr. Arun Kumar
Yadav (President) stands for such demeaning cases and is consistently working
towards the contribution.
