Inventory Specialist
General Electric(GE), Karachi (Pakistan)
I am currently working on Sapphire, Tricon Boston 150MW Wind Project, where I have
following roles and responsibilities:
▪ Installation Engineer:
As a installation Engineer my job description includes
▪ Receiving, inspection and management of all Turbine components by using GE software.
▪ Strong adherence and compliance to the GE EHS processes, guidelines, and safety instructions
▪ Providing installation advisory to Customer’s installation contractors during erection and
installation of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG)
▪ Self-participation and witnessing the erection and installation of WTG i.e. DTA, towers,
nacelle, and rotor assembly
▪ Inspections during installation including Installation Check List (ICL), Cable Installation
Check List (CICL).
▪ Tuf-Tug Installation, Generator Alignment, 10% Bolt Check etc.
▪ Electric tests of the turbine including Cable Insulation Test, Voltage Test, Lightening
Arrester Resistance measurement.
▪ Installation Inspection Procedure(IIP), Compilation of Punch List items,
coordination & execution, failure identification and correction
▪ Receiving, checking, and managing the turbine reports like Torque report, Generator
Alignment repot, Tuf-Tug inspection report, CE measurement report etc.
▪ Commissioning Consultant:
I have commissioned HAWA/JPL 2 X 49.375 MW Projects w ith GE Team. All three projects
successfully attained COD recently in March, 2018. My responsibilities also included:
▪ Pre-Commissioning Test (PCAT) of Wind Turbines
▪ Field Commissioning and Acceptance Test (FCAT) of Wind Turbines
▪ Converter Commissioning Test (CCT)
▪ Turbine Reliability Test (TRT)
▪ 24-Hour check after commissioning of WTG
▪ Compliance with all Quality Standards including job site books, opening and closing of
PAC cases, Punch list items etc
▪ Making note of all issues recorded throughout the project and actively participated in
lessons learned programs
▪ Working on different GE e-tools and sites like Toolbox ST, DPRO, PML, PAC e-field
service, eDSR, GE Box etc
▪ Tools Inventory Specialist:
Key responsibilities include tools inventory management of all GE Wind Projects in Pakistan

involving items cataloging, stock replenishment through Purchase Requisitions (PRs),


physical transfers of material to GE tools inventory warehouse, follow -up on Order
Placements (POs), consolidation and shipments of material at different GE wind
projects sites during installation, commissioning and Operations phase.

▪ As a installation Engineer my responsibilities includes receiving inspection of all GE wind
turbine equipment by using GE designated software for receiving.
▪ Witnessing erection of all the parts of wind turbine by following the GE protocoles
▪ Technically advising the EPC contractor and client about GE standard and protocoles
▪ IIP Compilation of Punch List items, coordination & execution, failure identification and correction.
▪ Also I have assisted in commissioning activities and provided technical advisory support to
Chinese EPC contractor-Hydro China in installation activities. All three projects successfully
attained COD recently in March, 2018.
▪ For inventory my key responsibilities included 3 X 49.375 MW Wind Projects tools
inventory management, consolidation and shipment of all tools and wind turbine
components to HAWA/JPL & Hartford Wind Projects.
▪ Took part in successfully completion of RRT and COD of all three projects
