Reflection
1. With this lesson plan students are able to develop their reading, writing and
researching skills. They learn how to use books and other resources such as
different websites to find facts about different countries. The handout allows
them to think and compare information they learned with their own personal
lives.
2. Students learn different things such as sports, traditions, language, music,
historical monuments for different countries. Students achieve finding
similarities and differences between different cultures.
3. Students engage during the introduction, learn how to follow instructions and
ask questions during the PowerPoint presentation and guided practice, and work
quietly during the independent practice.
4. The strength of the lesson plan is that students will be able to find their own way
of learning about each country they are assigned. The lesson is easy to follow
and students will enjoy pretending to travel. The weaknesses of the lesson plan is
that students may feel pressured to finish on time. There may not be enough
resources for students to really find all the information they are looking for.
