AASHTO DESIGNATION: M 17-95 (1999)

AASHTO M 17-95 (1999) is identical to ASTM D 242-95 except for the following provisions:

1. All references to the ASTM standards contained in ASTM D 242-95, listed in the following table, shall be replaced with
the corresponding AASHTO standard.

2. Add a new section after Section 4.1 of ASTM D 242-95 that contains the following:

“Fly ash used as a mineral filler shall have loss on ignition of 12 percent maximum.’’

“Determine the loss on ignition of fly ash according to ASTM C 311.”
