ABSTRACT

The objective of this paper is to propose a bi-directional single-stage grid-

connected inverter (BSG- inverter) for the battery energy storage system. The
proposed BSG-inverter is composed of multiple bi- directional buck-boost type
dc-dc converters (BBCs) and a dc-ac unfolder. Single stage power conversion ,
individual power control for each battery module are the advantage of proposed
system. The power flow of battery system can be controlled without the need of
input current sensor. With the use of interleaved operation between BBCs the
current ripple of output inductor can be reduced.
