1 General
The body computer (CPH) gathers information from sensors common to the following security and driving comfort
equipment
:
• electronic anti-theft device
• alarm
• door locking
• high frequency remote controls
• interior lamp timer
• lights-on audible warning
• key-in-the-ignition audible warning
• doors-open warning lamp
2 Role
The body computer is an ECU which controls the transponder-operated anti-theft device, while also providing the
following functions
:
• electronic anti-theft device
• controlling the door locks for central locking or deadlocking
• controlling the high frequency remote control
• locking the doors by remote control
• interior lamp timer
• doors-open warning lamp
• alarm (volumetric and perimeter protection)

The body computer can be software adapted to the configuration of the vehicle (this configuration takes place at the
production stage according to the vehicle's equipment).
When replacing the body computer, it is necessary to adapt it to the vehicle by initialising it using a diagnostic tool.
CITROEN XSARA :
depending on its level of equipment and the country in which it is marketed, the vehicle may be equipped with one of
3 body computers.
CITROEN SYNERGIE :
this vehicle is equipped with a version 2 CPH.
N.B. : When replacing the body computer, it is necessary to adapt it to the vehicle by initialising it using a diagnostic
tool.
