Problem
Does Engineer Estabillo have to secure the services of four additional civil engineers
on a full-time basis. If he decided to push through with the plan of adding four full-time civil
engineers,will he be able to perform his functions effectively?

II. Alternatives
- Engr. Estabillo should decide now because a growing business is a “now or never” type
of setting. Things like opportunities should not be thrown away just because it
overwhelms you. You should take risk at every turn, so later you Engr. Estabillo won’t
have a regrets.
- Engr. Estabillo should take an action now and decide to employ four additional full-time
civil engineers. As his company grows, the operations become complex so it is just
reasonable to hire more employees.
- To further gain knowledge and to perform his functions more effectively, while
managing his own business, he should pursue the Master’s Degree of Civil Engineering
course.

III. Conclusion

If Mr. Estabillo’s firm is really growing and earning a profit really well.
He should get an additional four more engineers. It’s a win-win situation for
him. More clients to accommodate then more profit and less job for him and
the others. With regards to the decision making he can hire a consultant or a
supervisor to do the job for him. He just need to pick the right man for the
right job
IV. Recommendation
I would recommend Engr. Estabillo to take master’s to have a wide variety of knowledge on his
company and managing people on his growing company.
