SATZ, State Attorney of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, as Prosecuting Attorney for the State of Florida in the County of Broward, by and through his undersigned Assistant State Attorney, charges that DAVID RAFFERTY O'CONNELL, on the ‘st day of January, A.D. 2019, in the County and State aforesaid, did knowingly commit a battery upon Deputy Jorge Sobrino, a duly qualified law enforcement officer of the Broward County Sheriff's Office, while the said law enforcement officer was engaged in the lawful performance of his duties, in that the said David Rafferty O'Connell did actually and intentionally touch or strike the said law enforcement officer against his will, and at the time of such touching or striking, the defendant knew that Deputy Jorge Sobrino was a law enforcement officer, contrary to F.S. 784.03(1), F.S. 784.07(1)(d) and F.S. 784.07(2)(b), (L4). COUNT II AND MICHAEL J.
