After researching on Dilts neurological levels I realised that each and every activity and task we

perform is triggered by one of the six neurological levels of Dilts.

If I apply it in my past and how I developed interest in Art and design field, all the six
neurological levels were involved which led me here in Srishti.
Environment-
The environment refers to everything outside yourself. The place in which you work, people
around you, your friends and family. It's about finding the right time and the right place to
achieve a goal. This environmental factor greatly impacts their motivation towards their work
and what they produce, not only this but their behaviour as well.
When I was young, my school teacher had a habit of explaining everything through her
drawings. Each and every alphabet, number was taught by drawing a picture relating to it. She
therefore created an environment which developed my interest towards it.

Behaviour- Behaviour is all about what you actually say and do, what you consciously get up to.
It is part of what can be seen and heard by other people. The particular patterns of work,
interaction and communication. On the individual level, behaviours take the form of specific
work routines, working habits or daily habits.
After the environment was created, it inculcated in my behaviour as well. Whenever I had to
add or subtract, instead of doing in on my fingers or mentally, I would draw figures and objects
and add and subtract them only by drawing and crossing them out. This behaviour is there in
my even now.

Capabilities- Capabilities are your talents and skills . They are the resources that you have
available to you. These range from behaviours that you do without putting any conscious effort
e.g. walking and talking, to skills that you've learned more consciously, e.g. riding a bike or
working on a new computer. Capabilities include skills such as learning, memory,
decision-making and creativity, which facilitate the performance of a particular behaviour or
task.
As I was a fast learner and always open to learning new things I acquired some skills which had
nothing to do with my environment and behaviour. When I developed interest in photography, I
realised I need a photo enhancing software for creating more impactful photos. I download
some beginner photography softwares, tried all their filters and all the options I could see. Thus,
I learnt these softwares on my own and acquired a new skill.
In this age of google, if someone has the capability, they can learn almost anything through the
internet.

Our beliefs and values provide the reinforcement that support particular capabilities and
behaviour. Beliefs determine how events are given meaning and are at the core of judgement
and culture. These are the fundamental principles that shape our actions. This level contains
statements about yourself, other people and situations that you hold to be true. They are
emotionally held views not based on facts. We all hold numerous beliefs and values, some of
which are known to us and others which sit outside of our consciousness. Sometimes our
beliefs reveal themselves to us when we talk to someone who holds a different belief and we
find ourselves drawn to defend our beliefs.

Values are the criteria against which you make decisions. These are qualities that you hold to
be important to you in the way you live your life. They are also the rules that keep us on the
socially acceptable road.
Beliefs and values are unique to each individual. We may also place a different priority on a
belief or a value to our friends, family or work colleagues.
I believe some beliefs and values are auto generated within ourselves, without being conscious.
I had a friend who was an atheist. Her mother and father were very spiritual. I would see them
regularly visiting temples and in most of the religious activities. But I would never see my friend.
Even in most of her conversations she would define herself as an atheist.

Identity

Values and beliefs support the individual's sense of identity i.e. the who behind the why, how,
what, where and when. Identity describes your sense of who you are and contains statements
that describe how you think of yourself as a person. Our identities are supported by personal
values, beliefs and capabilities as well as our physical being and our environment. A person's
identity is separate from their behaviour, you are more than what you do.

Purpose

This is the final level .This level has to do with people's perceptions of the larger systems in
which they belong and within which they participate. These perceptions relate to a person's
sense of, for whom and for what, their actions are directed, providing a sense of meaning and
purpose for their actions, capabilities, beliefs and identity.

How would I like it to play out for me in the future so that I can realize what you wish to achieve,
both professionally and personally.

In order to achieve what I want to professionally and personally, I would start with the
environment. I have always felt that the environment has a huge impact on an individual. The
people around are the biggest motivators.
If I live around the right people, it is surely going to positively impact my behavior. When the
behaviour is right and when I have the capability, positive beliefs and values, which also are
impacted by the environment. This is all interlinked.
So I believe, if I start by taking the right step, the purpose is surely going to be achieved.
