Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?
The field experience consisted of providing support to showcase our students’ work at the districtwide technology fair. The tasks included collaborating
with teachers and students to identify product based technology assignments as well as submitting the information to the appropriate contact person for the
county. The tasks also included monitoring the students at the event while troubleshooting any technology issues the students had prior to the competition.
The second component of this field experience consisted of developing a presentation for the state gifted conference. After collaborating with colleagues,
our team of four teachers created a presentation showcasing technology integration in the classroom. The goal of the presentation focused on promoting
additional technology use in gifted and advanced classrooms. I also had the opportunity to attend workshops with middle and high school teachers to see
ways I could integrate technology into my classroom further. The experience provided opportunities to strengthen my coaching, technology integration, and
technology leadership through the development, collaboration, and facilitation of the state presentation, technology fair, and conference.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader?
Knowledge - The Technology Fair and state presentation/conference experience provided opportunities to learn how to identify technology-enhanced
learning experiences aligned with content standards and student technology standards as well as identify authentic learning experiences, higher-order
thinking skills, differentiation, instructional design, and assessment.
Skills - The presentations provided opportunities to manage and collaborate learning strategies to maximize teacher and student use of digital tools and
resources. The participation of providing support to develop our school submission provided skills in collaborating and communicating with colleagues
from different schools. It also provided opportunities to evaluate additional technology products for possible integration in our school through the
workshops at the conference and collaboration with teachers at the fair.
Dispositions - The experience promoted an opportunity to develop confidence in collaborating, designing, developing, implementing, communicating, and
evaluating content based technology products. The presentation created awareness of how to model and facilitate the use of digital tools and resources to
support diversity of student needs.
3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
This field experience impacted school improvement of technology use as well as provided opportunities to collaborate with fellow teachers at the school
as well as throughout the district and state. Elementary and middle school students represented their schools with presentations using technology. The final
presentation at the state conference provided professional development of how to effectively integrate technology aligned with standards and student
learning in the classroom. The impact is assessed through one on one coaching and observations of technology demonstrated after the conference and
redelivery.
