A current topic in education would be whether student’s can pray in school or not.

teacher isn’t allowed to start the prayer a student has to. Student’s can have prayer sessions

before or after school as long as it doesn’t disturb another student. I think that students should

be allowed to pray in school, it is the freedom of religion. I personally pray every once in a

while, at school. At prom student’s lead the prayer. We have a lot of Christians at Lynnville-

Sully not only are they students they are also almost all the staff.

1. Since both the freedom of speech/religion and the separation of church and state are in

the constitution, which should take presentence over the other?

2. Do you remember when you were in elementary or middle school, did you ever pray or

talk about God while in class? If it has changed, how has it?
