Equipment:
1. Chairs
2. Screen to show game on
3. Questions prepared to ask
4. Pencil
5. Paper

Activity Description:
1. Everyone who is participating needs a chair to sit at.
2. The instructor will explain that they will be playing Jeopardy.
3. The group should be divided into two separate teams split by instructor.
4. Each group will think of a team name.
5. The instructor will flip a coin to see which team chooses first.
6. Team 1 will pick a category and number (Ex. Philadelphia for 200).
7. The team will have 30 seconds to answer the question.
8. If team 1 gets the answer wrong, or runs out of time, team 2 gets a chance to answer.
9. The instructor will keep score of the points the team received on a piece of paper.
10. Whoever has the most points when all of the questions are gone, wins.
11. Move chairs back to original spaces.
12. Debrief and close.

Primary interaction pattern:
The activity is Jeopardy. It is an activity that is structured for people of all disabilities and
ages. I think this activity would be good for people who have Stage 3 Age-Related Macular
Degeneration because it is a game that can be played out loud. People who have severe
symptoms such as blurriness, visual distortions or reduced central vision in eyes can still
participate in the game. The social interaction pattern would be multilateral because it is an
action of a competitive nature among three or more people with no one person as the
antagonist. The participants are playing in a team versus another group.

Adaptation:

People with Stage 3 Age-Related Macular Degeneration may have symptoms that cause
vision to be very blurry or parts of their vision blocked out by dark spots. An adaptation they
can use is having a team speaker on each team who does not have Macular Degeneration or
maybe someone who does not have a severe case. Having a speaker there to repeat the
Jeopardy questions and help choose the category and number the team wants would be very
beneficial. Another adaptation would be having Siri or an Echo dot there to read the questions
aloud to the groups. This allows people with Stage 3 Age-Related Macular Degeneration to still
play Jeopardy, even if they cannot see or read the board and questions!
