Dear Mrs. Watkins,

These writings I have chosen are writings that I have put the most time into. They mean
the most to me than any other writings I have done. All of these writing is stuff I have found
interest in over the course of my college career so far. Though I would like to choose all of my
essay I cannot do that. So, I chose the ones that mean the most to me including essays about
Influential Coaches, Why Hunting is Important, The Aztec Empire and The Wall of Social
Media.

I chose Influential Coaches as my most important for various reasons. It was about how
my high school coaches shaped me as a person and prepared me for my future. I firmly believe a
coach can change someone’s life positively and negative, luckily for me they changed it effected
mine in a positive manner. It is most important to me because it was stuff, I had actually gone
through in my life preparing me for where I am right now in life. This essay is one that has help
shape my essay writing ability. That is why I have chosen this essay as my go to for my most
important.

Hunting has always been a part of my life when I was growing up and still is today. So, it
was easy for me to put in my top four essays. Hunting is something that I am really passionate
about and something I deeply believe that is beneficial for human and animals to co-exist
properly. This essay helped me learn how to research better for important essays. This I why this
essay made it the top two of my most important essays.

History is one of my most favorable subjects in school. Indian civilizations are my most
favorite history topic. The Aztecs have always been my favorite Indian group to learn about, not
only because of the giant temple and the crazy stories, but the history of the civilization. They
started with nothing and made it into a giant civilization still talked about today. This essay not
only took the longest to write out of my college career, but it took the most research as well. This
essay help mold my research process as a writer and also taught me how to make a cover page
for an essay as well.

Social Media has become one of the most important things in today’s society. People are too
involved with their like on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. My generation is really ate up
with social media and I’m not really involved with social media because I don’t really see the
need in having it. This paper showed me how much social media is used and it just crazy how
people revolve around social media so much. It opened my eyes and I push myself not to
become involved with social media any more than I am now. This paper taught me how to look
up statistics and cite pages more thoroughly than I have in past papers.

My growth as a literate write was expansional from high school to my second semester of
college. I learned so much in my Comp 1 and 2 classes. I learned how to put commas in the right
spots and the right way to cite certain things in papers that I didn’t really learn at the high
school level and I really grateful for those classes. This shaped me to become the writer I am
today, but I’m am nowhere near perfect. I still have a way to go, my Comp classes have pushed
me closer and closer to my goal.

My process of writing is one the took a major turn after coming to college. I used to just wait till
the last minute and throw a paper together in high school and it was good enough to get me a
good grade. In college I learned I couldn’t do that in my first essay in my comp 1 class. I was
shocked on why I got a bad grade, because I have never got a C on an English paper ever in
school. So, I got the idea of actually doing my essays the week before they were due. Also, I
became more thorough when going over my papers, I actually would make an outline before
writing my essay.

My plans for the future are bright. I plan on writing a bunch of papers over medical
terminology, reports about anatomy, and papers of Physical Therapy. I am prepared for these
future writing thanks to my Comp 1 and 2 teacher Mrs. Watkins. Without her I do not think I
would be on the level of writing I am right now. I am prepared for any future writing that any
future professor will throw at me while in their class. This class has showed me my strengths
and my weakness of writing papers. It showed me that I have a good flow on any writing
material, but it also showed me I need to fix my comma splicing and the correct placement of
commas. My outlines became more detailed and made my essays a stronger writing than ones
before.

So, thank you for your timing in reading this cover letter. These essays do mean a lot to me, not
only because the time it took to write, but the effort I put into these essays. This class taught
me a lot about writing papers and citing pages. Most important it taught me how to work to my
full protentional and I am truly grateful to have had a teacher like Mrs. Watkins.
