This course is a complete guide to achieving a simple makeup look for students on a
budget. By the end of this module students will have an in depth knowledge of affordable
products that can be found in Pennys. They will be able to recreate this simple makeup
look and other makeup looks with the acquired new knowledge about the products
presented in this course. The students will be able to demonstrate their newly acquired
knowledge in a quiz at the end of the module.

Course Introduction

Time: 1.5 Hours

This course consists of makeup lessons targeted to threes major areas of the face. Each
lesson will give an in depth guide of how to re-create a simple, night out glam look with
affordable products that can be found in Pennys. There will be a quiz at the end to test
your knowledge of the course material.

1. Eyebrows: The Product:

Use a brush to map out where your eyebrow The PS. Eyebrow Kit €3.50
starts and ends. Place the brush along the side
of your nose, this should be where your
eyebrow starts. Angle the brush from your nose
to the outside corner of your eye, this is where
your eyebrow should end. Use a eyebrow pencil
that matches your natural eyebrow colour and
use short dash-like strokes to mimic natural
eyebrow hairs. Use a spooly to brush through
your eyebrows to remove any harsh lines.
Finally, set your eyebrows with an eyebrow gel
to keep them in place.

The Product:

Desert Queen Eyeshadow Palette €10


First, prime the lids with some concealer to
prevent the eyeshadow from moving. Apply a PS. Fine Eyeliner Pen €1.50
dark brown shade to the outer corner and the
crease of your eye. Blend the eyeshadow with
a fluffy blending brush to prevent any harsh
lines. Apply a shimmery gold colour to the
middle of your eyelid using your ring finger, as
this makes the glitter shadow look more
pigmented. Blend this shade towards your
inner eye. Use an eyeliner pen to create a
wing, this will make your eyes look bigger.

Eyebrows Eyeshadow TheMascara


Product:
2. Eyeshadow and Eyeliner:

Desert Queen Eyeshadow Palette €10


First, prime the lids with some concealer to
prevent the eyeshadow from moving. Apply a PS. Fine Eyeliner Pen €1.50
dark brown shade to the outer corner and the
crease of your eye. Blend the eyeshadow with

The Product:
3. Mascara

PS.. Lash Effect Mascara €3


A very dark mascara should be used as it gives the
illusion of thicker, fuller lashes and will make your
eyes pop. Make sure you apply your mascara last
as your mascara is less likely to smudge. When
applying mascara, put the wand at the base of your
lashes and use a back and forth motion. This will
ensure that the majority of the mascara will be on
the roots, which will create an illusion of a thicker
lash and that there are no clumps. When putting
mascara on your bottom lashes, use the tip of the
wand for precision and control.

4. Foundation and Concealer The Products:

Use a makeup sponge or foundation brush to apply PS. Ultimate Matte Foundation
the foundation evenly all over the face. Make sure to €5
blend the foundation down your neck and into your
hairline, as these are commonly missed areas which PS. Liquid Concealer €3
will make your foundation look uneven. A concealer
that is a lighter shade than your foundation should be
used as it will act as a highlight. Concealer should be
applied under the eyes, in the middle of the forehead,
the bridge of the nose and the center of the chin as
these are the features that are naturally highlighted by
the sun and will give your face dimension.

Foundation
4. Foundation andContour
Concealer The Products:

The Product:
5. Contour and highlight
PS. Fierce Bronzing
Contour, a shade darker than your foundation, should be Palette €10
applied in a 3 shape starting from your forehead going
down to your jawline. Highlight should be then applied to
the tops of your cheekbones, brow bone, tip of the nose
and the cupids bow of your lip. The video below
demonstrates how to properly apply contour and highlight.

6. Lipliner and Lipstick The Product:

First, line your lips with lipliner. This will stop your PS. Team Nude Lip Kit €3.50
lipstick from smudging into your foundation and
will make your lips look bigger. Since the
eyeshadow is quite dark and smoky, a nude lip will
best compliment this look. A liquid lipstick will be
best to used as it lasts longer than normal lipstick
and is more pigmented.
