Peace Council Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, March 4th, 2019; 6:30 pm

Present: Todd Schneeberger, Gaylene Hanson, Joyce Hanson, Kim Lang, Jon
Danner, Bob Shervey, Terry Lien, and Pastor Denise Croskey. Absent: Lexi
Danner

Devotions were presented by Pastor Denise.

Pastor’s Report:
~Discussion was held regarding Pastor Eliza Johnson’s start day. It was
confirmed she will be moving the week of March 15th, having a meet and greet
on March 24th, and her first service date is March 31st. Her Installation will be
held on April 14th. We need to invite all area Pastors, order flowers, and have a
meal. It was suggested to have a house warming.
~A decision on Confirmation date needs to be made.

A motion was made by Bob Shervey, seconded by Kim Lang, to approve the
Secretary’s report. MCU

A motion was made by Kim Lang, seconded by Jon Danner, to approve the
Transaction Report. A motion was made by Kim Lang, seconded by Gaylene
Hanson, to approve the Treasurer’s Report. MCU

The income from our potato bar meal amounted to $223.00 and it was decided
to use those funds to print business cards and a brochure for Peace Church.

A motion was made by Jon Danner, seconded by Kim Lang, to donate the
income from Lenten to our Youth Group. MCU

We discussed our Emergency Safety Program and the creation of a Safety

Committee. Jon Danner will present the program to the congregation. It was
suggested we ask the Barrett Fire Department to help fund medical supply bags
and other emergency needs.

A motion was made by Kim Lang, seconded by Jon Danner, to approve the
moving expense for Eliza Johnson of $2,048.00. MCU

Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, at 7:00 pm, following
Lenten Services.
