Implement a tracking worksheet and monthly scheduled calendars for agents to utilize during each
month in order to present at the end of the month to operations port office.

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program. I am going to use this program to create a grid of text and
numbers, along with formulas and will also be specifying calculations for vessel tracking purposes
throughout each month while keeping count each week until end of the month. With this program time
will be saved.

For example: each agent will use for data management, tracking purposes using easy mathematical
calculations along with a weekly count and eventually a monthly count. With this program, spreadsheets
can easily be manipulated, and formulas can be used to quickly calculate a large amount of data at once.
One spreadsheet with several tabs and each tab can be copied easily to reflect a uniform spreadsheet. In
the end, Microsoft Excel can be easily kept in one location.

Microsoft Word will be used for this project to create a calendar for each month utilizing a tool that will
help create calendars by using existing templates and revising them. Templates are one option, as there
is another way to create calendars utilizing the insert tables function. If it is decided to use a template of
choice, we can enable macros if wanted, to create additional calendars for future months and future
dates. With either option, this calendar will be used by each agent to store information of their
schedules listing vessel names and boarding agent. Because each agent does not always board their own
vessel, it is important to track vessels that they do not manage in order to make sure it is accounted for.

Microsoft Power Point will be used at the end of each month by each agent to present their volume,
count, and forecasting for each month and every month going forward. The presentation will be that of
a finished project pulling everything together in the end and presented through this program.
Spreadsheets and calendars can be embedded and pulled into this powerful product and it is easy to use
with basic functions. Information can be presented with bullet points, images, embedded files, audio,
and video of which could have a great visual impact. Interacting with the audience is important and
presenting finalized proof of volume utilizing this tool to present the results can have a large impact on
the motivation of each agent, hopefully sparking competition.

Summarize

Digital transformation seems to be the evolution of this era and by using products like Microsoft Office
tools, we can do the imaginable and create while collaborating with teams more effectively and saving
so much time. Employees are expected to produce with tools that are given and are only their best
when given the best tools, and I believe taking advantage of such tools can impact productivity while
keeping employees engaged. By using this these tools, I hope to develop solutions that help our work
environment automate manual tasks and save time.
