Want to put your creative skills as an English major to use in the industry that
makes it all happen? Books, I mean. Think of all the stories you’ve read,
analyzed, and loved; or the ones that evoked some genuine disgust or fright from
deep within you. Love them or fear them, the stories coming to mind are the ones
that made you feel something real. If you would like to be a part of that—readers
feeling something real—become a part of the well-oiled machine that is the
publishing industry.

and setting up meetings between author and editor.

works of fiction alive. Proving you have a good eye for successful manuscripts
and strong writing can eventually lead to a job as an editor.
