Project summary: The project aims to help students understand and prepare for the jobs in the
future. The project is based on a popular research which concluded that “65% of children
entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that
don't yet exist.” During the project 7-16 year-old students will also learn about industries that
will be created in the future and the role of technology in transforming the world. The project
will teach 3 out of the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) described in
the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (Quality Education, Affordable & clean energy,
Industry, innovation & infrastructure). The project promoting STE(A)M vision and STEM-based
experiences will last 7 weeks. Every week teachers will receive weekly tasks to complete.

Duration: 7 weeks

Time required: 160-180 min/week

Objective(s):

1. The main objective of this STE(A)M project is to teach and prepare today’s students for
the careers they may have when they finish college and university.
2. The project also aims at helping teachers understand STEM education through Project-
based learning and at teaching them how to build skills which students need to succeed
in the future.
3. This project will also teach 3 out of the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs) described in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Guide for Country Coordinators & Teachers
1. First week of the project will start from 14th January, 2019.
2. In case your school is on holidays before or during the project, you can start and complete tasks
accordingly.
3. Each country coordinator is responsible to register minimum five schools or five teachers from different
schools to participate in the project. They can register as many as they can. Please forward the
registration form link to schools and teachers you want to register.
4. Monitor your registered schools/teachers in our Facebook group whether they are completing the weekly
tasks or not.
5. Teachers will be informed through email and Facebook page about every week’s tasks. They will receive
weekly tasks on Friday of each week.

7. Post a minimum of 5 pictures of your weekly activities in the classroom on the project’s Facebook page
after completing the tasks along with following details. Also, please email selected 5 pictures to
innovateyourdreams2019@gmail.com with teacher and school name in the subject section.

iv. School name
8. Use our camera effect on each picture you choose to post and email. Click the link, select picture and
press save. Teachers are not allowed to post any picture related to the project anywhere without this

9. Use our profile picture frame on Facebook throughout the project. It will help us to connect with other
teachers and group participants. Go to your profile picture, click add frame & search IYD2019 or click this

10. Only invite people to Facebook group related to education. Avoid adding irrelevant people. Also avoid
posting irrelevant stuff in the group.
11. For a quick response about any problem during the project, please post your question in the Facebook
group.

*It is recommended but not compulsory to interact with other participants of the project organizing for example
Skype sessions presenting your school projects and exchanging ideas.

*ALL photographs and videos featuring children should have the relevant permissions from their parents so they
can be used. Any clearance of photographs and videos needs to be done by you before you send them to us.

*ALL PARTICIPANTS, COORDINATORS, MEDIA ADVISORS, TEACHERS AND STUDENTS WILL BE AWARDED
CERTIFICATES.
