Friendships

Summary
Friendships are tight bonds made between two people that share the same common
interests. Within the relationship, secrets are told, and promises are made. When this is done,
there is a common friend code that must be kept and held sacred. Just think about it, how many
times do you tell your closest friend a secret that no one else knows about but them. That creates
a deeper connection and also acknowledges your friend that they are trustworthy. The good thing
about sharing your information with a close friend is that you have someone to talk to or vent too
and depending on your type of relationship, they won’t judge you and they can give you advice.
When the trust has been broken, and your disclosed information has been opened up to a
third party without your knowledge, that friendship will have a turning point. Without trust,
people will question your actions and might even begin to avoid conversation. This being so, the
friendship that was once strong and tight, it will eventually fall out. The bad part about sharing
your information or any secrets with someone you might call a friend is that you never know if
they take that information and share it with other people that you did not want to know about
your secret. That person can take your information and use it against you. For example, if you
told someone that you have an STD from someone you slept with and that person goes on social
media and makes a post about it, then you won’t feel comfortable sharing with that person
anymore.

Apply It

● Friendship are bonds that we make with others who share the same or common interest.
Friendships are an organic bond made between people of all ages and at all times of life.
Friends are people that we feel we can divulge secrets, private and, personal information
with. Friendships allow us to form deep connections with others and share ownership of
our most private information. We trust that our friends will hold that private
information as their own. When friends show distrust or misuse of information,
turbulence occurs within the friendship thus allowing distance or an uneasy feeling of
sharing information again.
