Motivation letter

Dear Sir /Madam,

I am writing to express my keen interest in studying at the American University of Bulgaria in 2017. I am
completing my last year in the 12th form at the lyceum "Liviu Rebreanu" in Chisinau, Moldova and I
would love to make my first steps towards building my career at the American University of Bulgaria,
especially in Business Administration.

My interest in Business Administration began in 11th form, where I worked on real business cases in my
Entrepreunership course. My teacher Dumitru Mocanu, the head of marketing and advertising department
of VOLTA, introduced us to the business perspective by asking us to create a company from scratch:
starting with the big idea and the mission .

Following this, my team and I, worked on a project where we created an improvised company
specialized in making bean-bags, called „BeanBang”. We created the company's logo and stated a
suitable creative motto. We also defined our target audience and did important market research in order to
approach the customer preferences about beanbags charasteristics (colour, material, price, etc). I was in
charge of defining the strategic mission and vision of the company and worked on the marketing plan.
That project was revealing for me because I discovered my strong passion for marketing and advertising.

The latter experience led me to consider business administration a way to achieve my dream of being a
marketer in the future. After meeting Inga Doranut at Educational Network Conference, who told me
about AUBG, I was amazed by the quality of education programs and the number of facilities provided
by this university as well as the different purposes clubs that ensure a good ambiance in the campus.
Not to mention that AUBG has a modern residential campus and its faculty is in the world's top school
ranking.

During school I participated in different painting contests and in the 11th form I became a member of the
school senate and school choir. My peers from senate and I organized events for pupils as well as for
teachers, for example: a Christmas Ball or a concert dedicated to Teacher’s Day, etc. I also did
volunteering for Medico-Social Charitable Foundation "Angelus Moldova" (from august 2015 till october
2016) and for the Republican Center for Children and Youth ARTICO (from september 2016 –till now).
Some of the events I organised are: "Annual Football Cup" HOSPICE Angelus , "World Hospice Day",
"Quiz Night" and the campaign "From HOSPICE to Hospice on Two Wheels", "Movie’n" ARTICO,etc.
These valuable experiences helped me develop a wide range of skills such as: time management, inter-
personal communication skills, problem-solving skills, team work, and organizational skills.

Organized, meticulous, with a taste for human relationships and passionate about the Business
Administration field I think this is an opportunity for me to learn more about marketing in a new cultural
environment. My added value to the university would be eagerness to learn, innovation, orientation spirit,
creativity and a lot of involvement.
