PHILOSOPHY
ESIGN
As a designer I aim to design a space that feels it has been
lived in and used. A space that in the times of every day life,
tasks come simply and naturally, along with being
aesthetically pleasing. The movement with in the space is of
the utmost importance when I design, and I plan to design
space that allow anyone to feel comfortable in the spaces .

Problem:
A client in the New England area was looking to build a small residential building that didn’t
exceed 500 square feet. The client allowed complete freedom of inspiration as long as there
was a variety of materials to make an architectural statement. Additionally asked was for a
sample layout plan of the residential building, first and second floor.

Solution:
The small residential building was inspired a secret garden feel. A 15’ x 15’ two floor
structure with 14 windows from the Anderson 400 series. Four elevations and a 3d
axonometric drawing were made to show the framing plans along with a 3d axonometric
finished example model. The finished model has white stucco siding, a black asphalt roof,
dark green shutters, a darker wood framing of the windows and doors.

Problem:
A client renovating her u-shaped kitchen is trying to update her home with hints of her
favorite style modern farmhouse with her favorite color green, she wants to start with the
kitchen and possibly continue one space at time. through her home.
Solution:
Dark emerald green shaker cabinets give this new modernize kitchen a dramatic look. The
concrete counter tops, white subway tile backsplash, and lighter grey grout all work together
to balance the space and lighten up. While the two large windows let in plenty of warm light,
they are framed in a warm toned wood that are also used in the open shelving to bringing
even more warmth into the space. The dramatic green brings in a fresh new look but
balances out with the clean freshness of the lighter tones through out the space.

Problem:
The Seattle Design Center has introduced a new restaurant entering into the center. The
restaurant is to hold 100 people, have some sort of bar, and separate dinning area. Being
inspired off an upholstery needle and thread, it was to be colorful and well thought out.
Solution:
In the city of Seattle resides Threaded, a restaurant with he inspiration of an upholstery
needle and thread. Guests will walk and see the mixture of calm but bright colors of yellows,
reds, blues, and oranges. To calm the color load a slatted light wood is covering the walls,
while a dark rich wood tone is used as flooring and window trim. Large circle booths take the
color in their upholstery while being wrapped in white subway tile to tie along with the
round needle shaped bar.

Problem:
Rareform is looking to design their first brick and mortar store in Destiny USA. The design
must promote Rareforms products by being eye-catching, visually stimulating, immersive,
interactive, and easy to access. The finished product must incorporate the appropriate
layouts and materials to fulfill the expectations of a retail space that focuses on brand,
products, display, egress, commercial materials, signage, and the overall "shopping
experience."

Solution:
Rareforms first store is inspired by their home state of California. Black Wood framing and
warm wood panel display fixtures give the space a surf shop feel. Concrete flooring gives a
more cooler tone allowing the bright hues of every unique product Rareform creates from
billboards to standout and be seen.

RADE SHOW
Problem:
Artaic is looking for a new trade show booth to be designed to be first shown at BDNY. The
goal is to design a “mobile display booth” that can be reconstructed in several venues. Artaic
is looking for this booth to be exciting and attractive, and visually stimulating.

Solution:
Artaics booth is built to show the beautiful and different work that Artaic does with mosaic
tiles. This trade booth is made up of ten different panels displaying one pattern of each
collection, with an attached tablet showing the rest of the collection. In the center of the
booth is a miniature version of Artaics robot, Arty, displaying just of how their intricate
designs comes to life . A natural color tone is the base of the booth, allowing the colors of
every tile to pop.
