INNOVATION PROPOSAL

1.General Information
Project Title: ANAK KO, TUMBLER MO (Anyone Needs Acceptance to
Know that Knowledge of Teaching and Understanding to
Manage Behavior Lead to Environment Rescue-a Moral
Obligation)

2. Development Issues – The problem to be addressed by the Activity
a. Background/ This innovation was conceptualized through the
Context current situation of the school in terms of waste management
as part of the implementation of SDRRM to ensure safe,
healthy and child-friendly teaching-learning environment.

Since this school is an advocate of clean and safe


environment and educating all students and individuals with
environmental awareness and concern, the proponents came
up with this idea of launching an innovative project which
could be of great help to cater the needs of the students at
the same time will take care of the beauty and safety of the
school environment.

Thus, this project will develop the students’ knowledge,


skills and values towards lifelong learning on maintaining a
conducive and child-friendly learning environment today and
throughout those coming years.

b. Main Issue Currently, there is a massive use of different plastic


materials or containers for drinking water/juice by almost all
students inside and outside the school premises. These
plastic waste materials led to unsafe and unfriendly
environment for the students, parents and school personnel.
The principle of orderliness and cleanliness may not be
realized if this problem will not be solved.

c. Related Issues This is also one of the strategies in strengthening


school-stakeholder’s partnership through voluntary offering of
assistance to all students who are less fortunate and cannot
afford to buy safe drinking materials/tumblers for their
everyday use in the school.

3. Development Interventions – The proposed solution to be supported by the activity


a. Proposed Through this project, the school will seek for individuals

tumbler/s for free that can be distributed to all students to
reduce or eliminate plastic waste materials in the school as
part of the advocacy campaign of the school in line with
SDRRM and Project SWAT of Yes-O Organization in keeping
the environment clean, safe and child-friendly.

Also this will build sense of ownership, volunteerism


and charitable deeds among school internal and external
stakeholders through offering pieces of tumblers for free to
the students in this school most especially to those who are
less fortunate and cannot afford to buy.

Monitoring and evaluation will be done by the Head


Teachers and assigned working committees to ensure the
smooth and successful implementation of the project.

Accomplishment report will be done and submitted to


different concern offices.by the documentation committee for
reference and record purposes.

b. Project The proponents and all advisers/teachers will regularly check


Sustainability or monitor the students in using tumblers to ensure that
objectives of the project will be carried out and become a
longterm practice/habit in the school.

4. Activity Concept
a. Objectives 1. To encourage all students to use tumbler as drinking
material in the school to avoid using plastic cups or
containers.
2. To reduce or eliminate plastic waste materials in the school
as part of the advocacy campaign of the school in line with
Project SWAT of Yes-O Organization in keeping the
environment clean, safe and child-friendly.
3. To build sense of ownership, volunteerism and charitable
deeds among school internal and external stakeholders
through offering pieces of tumblers for free to the students in
this school most especially to those who are less fortunate
and cannot afford to buy.

5. Indicative Implementation Arrangements


A. Implementing Basud National High School

B. Proposed 1. This innovation will start from April 25, 2019 up to July
Implementation 25, 2019 at Basud National High School, Poblacion 1,
Methods Basud, Camarines Norte.
2. Through this project, the school will seek for individuals
or internal & external stakeholders who are willing to
offer tumbler/s for free that can be distributed to all
students to reduce or eliminate plastic waste materials
in the school as part of the advocacy campaign of the
school in line with Project SWAT of Yes-O Organization
in keeping the environment clean, safe and child-
friendly.

3. Build sense of ownership, volunteerism and charitable


deeds among school internal and external stakeholders
through sending them letter of invitation to attend during
launching of the said innovation in order for them to be
motivated to offer pieces of tumblers for the students for
the school year 2019-2020.

4. The priority beneficiaries are the students who are less


fortunate and cannot afford to buy tumblers.

5. Encourage all students to use tumbler as drinking


material in the school to avoid using plastic cups or
containers. The advisers will be in-charged of its
management.

6. Monitoring and evaluation will be done by the Head


Teachers and assigned working committees to ensure
the smooth and successful implementation of the
project.

7. Accomplishment report will be done and submitted to


different concern offices.by the documentation
committee for reference and record purposes.
