Lesson 4: Adding text to the piece

Objectives: Students will learn the text to Tshotsholoza and speak through the piece, then sing
through it. Afterwards they will submit a recording speaking and singing the text.

Warm up
Tongue twisters to get the students minds and bodies engaged

Sequence
 Pronunciation guide is projected in front of class
 Class speaks through text with teacher
 Class speaks through song on text
 Class sings through song on text at a slower tempo
 Class sings through song on text at show tempo
 Students do individual recordings, first speaking through text, then singing their part
through the song (no repeats) to a metronome set at show tempo

Were the recordings accurate both textually and musically?
