INTRODUCTION

Achilles Tendinopathy is an ankle and foot overuse injury. This disorder is mostly found in people who run or jump.
The two categories that they are under are insertional (inflammation at the point where the Achilles tendon inserts
into the heel bone) and noninsertional (activity causes pain). 20% - 25% of patients who have Achilles have
insertional disorder and 66% of them have noninsertional disorder.
