Assignment Title: Q1 Mid Unit Resume

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to score the minimum of 80% or higher. I want to have a well thought out
paper that sounds very intellectual and sounds as if I’m an expert at whatever the topic is, I write about with not many
grammar errors.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of writing this assignment was to experience what it would be like to have an actual resume and
to put everything I’ve accomplished on the resume. While seeing I still had so much more to accomplish, I
know I can push myself to do more and update that onto my resume for the future. As for making the cover
letter, I’m also knowledgeable and what needs to be wrote and professionally used in the cover letter.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I didn’t perform this assignment with my best efforts, I knew I could’ve done much better if I put more time
and effort. If I took this resume more seriously I would’ve received a better grade than I did. According to the
writing rubric I wasn’t missing much but grammar. Also to not put information on resume that’s unavailable
and to turn the assignment on in time.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
What I did well was organizing my resume. The resume displayed clearly my experience, skills, goals, and
overall background and what High School I attended and now attending. My objective was well thought out,
short and simple while still sounding educated. “ I work well with people and I’m very outgoing. I’m also very
responsible and a quick learner. I can assure you I’m quite reliable”. This statement displayed what type of person
I am and in short terms what makes me eligible for the position.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I’ve recently chose to revise this writing assignment so I can possibly remake a new resume for the real
world. By revising this assignment it lets me know what to do better next time with grammar and updating to
new experiences that’ll make my resume look more intellectual and capable for any position I apply for.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
My next writing assignment I will turn it in on time and take my time writing and putting my best efforts.
When I write the next assignment I will go back and re-read so I can revise and edit ahead of time rather than
revising and editing when the grades already put in. I can also stay for tutoring if there’s anything I don’t
understand, email applies for the same concept.
To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
My goal was to perform 80% or higher. I don’t want to set my goals to far where I can’t accomplish them or
disappoint myself. Setting a goal realistic is what I’d rather try to accomplish. I’m not much of a bad writer
nor good. When it’s a topic I know a lot about or do good research on, I’m capable of writing a good paper.
Grammar can also be a problem in my assignments. Not too much grammar but somewhere if I fix it, it’ll be
a much better written paper.
