To whom it may concern

I am indeed pleased to recommend Mr.Harish.C for a master’s program in

Chemical Engineering at your prestigious university. Harish was a Process
Engineering Intern at TechnipFMC, India during the months of November and
December 2017. He worked under my supervision during this period and I have
known him well since then.

During his first week of Internship orientation training at TechnipFMC, he

showed enormous interest towards the application of the principles of fluid
mechanics for the design of process plants, this helped him to be involved in two
assignments which primarily relied on hydraulic calculations for line, pump and
control valve. Harish first worked on the line sizing and control valve sizing of
the Delayed Coker Unit. He completed the work in a very short period. He then
carried out the line sizing, control valve sizing and net positive suction
head(NPSH) calculations of the entire Aviation Turbine Fuel Hydrotreater Unit.
Although these tasks involved complex pipeline systems and two phase flows,
Harish could successfully complete the tasks assigned to him.

Harish presented his project work to me as well as to my colleagues in the process

department and received positive reviews from all of them. To be an efficient and
a leading engineer in the current market, it is important to have strong
communication skills as well as technical skills and Harish is an embodiment of
these. His excellent public speaking abilities coupled with his technical soundness
helped him ace presentations with ease. He always made it a point to keep me and
my team updated on his work by interacting with us daily, which in turn helped
us derive the best of his abilities.

I would also like to emphasize on the fact that since Harish had already worked
on complex fluid research at the High-Energy Materials Research Lab of Defence
Research Development Organisation(DRDO) before coming to TechnipFMC.
This experience helped him quickly grasp the underlying concepts of two phase
flows that were involved in the tasks he worked on during his internship at

TechnipFMC. He inherently possessed a research oriented mindset that helped
him delve into the fundamentals of two phase flow, thereby helping him
understand the advantages and disadvantages of the various two phase flow
models. He was also found to be extremely sincere, hardworking and perseverant
individual who always performed the tasks given to him in a systematic and
logical manner.

Therefore, I can confidently say that the nature of work carried out by Harish was
very impressive and I strongly believe that he would be suitable for any master’s
program which requires a strong process engineering and fluid mechanics
background. I wish him the best for his future endeavours.

Yours sincerely,
