SUBJECT : RECOMMEND A SOLUTION FOR OUR WEBSITE
1. INTRODUCTION
Wealth distribution from the Islamic perspective is which Islam recognizes economic
inequalities among its people but does not let them grow wider. In Islam rules, wealth is
important and necessary but much more important is the way in which wealth or income is
distributed. The guiding principle is that there should be more production and fairer
distribution of wealth or income, so the increased wealth or income might lead to equitable
division among the Muslim people. Wealth or income should not be concentrated or focused
wealth in fewer hands and in spreading it out among the larger section of the community. To
achieve fairer distribution of income, one of method that Islam applying is by Faraid.
According to the Muslim law of inheritance, if man or women who dies, then the property of
the deceased after settling his debts will be divided among his near relatives in proportion to
faraid. However, if the deceased is without any relative, the state will take over the property

Majority of Muslims nowadays is not aware about faraid knowledge. Most of them do
not know how to distribute the properties of the deceased to the heirs based on the shariah
law. This cause from lack of media emphasis about faraid knowledge in good explanation
and easy to understand. Some of the society divided the properties in a wrong ways and cause
havoc in family relationship and society. Some of society as well consult with lawyer and
faraid consultant. This way might use some money and take time. Thus, this web application
will give the pictures of faraid knowledge so that people could get a raw information
regarding faraid and can proceed to the process of distribution of the properties immediately.
For Muslim people, the Quran and Al hadith provide absolute guidance on how to
distribute wealth among family members and relatives of a person who pass away.
Distributing the property correctly requires thorough studies or expert guidance, because the
rules stated are in details and distinctive to each person. Besides that, it is difficult for normal
people who do not have the comprehension on Islamic inheritance to implement the
distribution of inherited assets that was mentioned in the Quran. Hence, there is needed
someone and some facilities to help the heirs, so that can solve the problems who has the
necessary knowledge and knowledge with thorough understanding. Normally, when someone
passes away, his or her relatives will refer to someone who has as much as necessary
knowledge to determine the distribution, which is costly and time consuming, so FaraidFirm

inheritance in a family fairly and with justice. Especially, FaraidFirm company is the
provider or developer of the website to facilitate the Muslim families in during dividing of
deceased’s properties. This website includes a calculator to calculate the income among of
the heirs correctly and fairly. Thus, our company objectives are to become the leading

A general short survey from FaraidFirm has been conducted on 17 respondents who
are students as sample. This survey is objectively to gather data based on their general
knowledge about the distribution of Islamic inheritance (Faraid) and its enhancement with
ICT elements. Both table below are the contents of survey and respondents recorded answers:

Management in assets and liabilities is vital for every patriarch or a head of family
before he deceased and left his family behind. It is also considered as obligatory because once
he died without a proper wealth management for his family, a huge conflict will strike his
family in future.
Rahman and Azizi (2010, cited in Marhusin, et al., 2014) highlighted that a news had
been reported about more RM40 billions of unclaimed assets at Amanah Raya Berhad (ARB)
due to lack of strategic plan for family future by patriarchs before they died. ARB (Amanah
Besides money, a kind of property that usually related with the distribution of
inheritance is estate planning (Alma'amun, 2010). The patriarch will set each of his estates to
be inherited by one of his family members who is the most suitable candidate. In general,
only patriarch and trusted lawyers know the flow of the strategic of Wasiyyah for Muslims or
wills for Non-Muslims. At the stated time after patriarch’s death, Wasiyyah or wills will be
throughout his family members with fair and justice. If not, family members will be asking
and fighting their rights for his left assets. Nevertheless, disclosing assets and liabilities can
impact the family members in different manners. Disclosing assets may lead to greediness
and arrogant inside relatives if huge amount being involved. Meanwhile, disclosing liabilities
will made relatives suffering poverty due to insufficient money for payback. According to
(Marhusin, et al., 2014), “a greater loss is waiting if we die without being able to disclose

In a nutshell, inheritance management is crucial and and should be prepared wisely.
The future of next generation inside a family is depend on it. Therefore, in compliance with
syari’ah law for distribution of inheritance (Faraid) and emergence of ICT, FaraidFirm will
improve its recent professional services towards a betterment for clients and the company
itself.
3. DISCUSSION
Faraid and had experience of losing any family members. However, most of the respondents
answered that they do not know to distribute the property following Faraid law especially
with courts’ procedure in Malaysia. Usually they will depends on lawyer to settle the problem
There are few mobile application and websites that are built to overcome this problem
such as FaST Guide, iFaraid and Islamic Inheritance Calculator Al Miiras. Each applications
has their own unique characteristics that differ the product from another such as the system

4. CONCLUSION
To be concluded, this web application will introduce a minimalist and simple guide
and calculation about faraid so that people will expose to faraid knowledge. Faraid is an
important knowledge that almost ignored by muslims in this world as the Prophet PBUH said
“Learn faraid knowledge because it is really part of your religion and teach it to people
because it is indeed part of knowledge, and indeed it will be forgotten and indeed it is first
knowledge deprived of my people.”- hadith narrated by Hakim and Abu Daud from Abu
Hurairah. Not only that, the system will only be deployed using the web based system. It is
also an easy way for anyone to learn about faraid. The responsive layout of the website will
ease the users to interact with the website using their devices without to install any
prerequisites apps. Last but not least, hopefully the system can be accomplished its objectives
5. RECOMMENDATION
The FaraidFirm is online service consultancy which aims to distribute the assets of a
dead person properly based on Quran and sunnah to its hiers .The developers of FaraidFirm
company provide this online system because of comforting people as the people find
technology as a tool to reach their goals in an easy way for all the aspects of their life. As the
system currently has online consultancy and a calculator functions ,its better to add some
more features to improve the system such as online documentation which the users can
submit their Wasiyyat documents and get the feedbacks about how the distribution of
